Product Overview

The Bizflame Rain Hi-Vis Contrast FR Jacket is a sophisticated piece of technical safety equipment designed for professionals working in environments where multiple hazards coexist. This multi-protection garment is not merely a waterproof outer layer; it is engineered to provide a barrier against flames and static, while maintaining high visibility in low-light conditions. The contrast Orange and Navy design ensures a professional appearance while adhering to strict safety requirements. A notable feature is the detachable flame-resistant fleece liner, which transforms the jacket from a sturdy winter shield into a lighter shell suitable for milder weather, ensuring utility regardless of the season.

Key Features

  • Multi-Hazard Protection: This garment offers comprehensive protection against rain, flame, and static, reducing the need for multiple layers of specialist equipment.
  • Detachable Flame-Resistant Fleece: The removable liner provides thermal insulation in cold conditions and can be taken out to adapt to warmer environments.
  • Breathable Waterproof Fabric: The PU coated shell keeps external moisture out while allowing internal perspiration to escape, keeping you dry and comfortable during physical exertion.
  • High-Visibility Contrast: The Orange and Navy colour scheme is designed for maximum visibility on-site, ensuring you remain seen in hazardous work zones.
  • Integrated Carbon Fibre: The inclusion of carbon fibre within the fabric provides essential anti-static properties for safety in volatile atmospheres.

Design & Performance

Constructed from a technical blend of 98% Polyester and 2% Carbon Fibre, the shell fabric is a medium-weight material that does not compromise on durability. The breathable PU coating is essential for those working long shifts, as it prevents the 'sauna effect' often found in lesser waterproof garments. The internal 100% cotton flame-resistant lining adds an extra layer of protection and comfort against the skin.

The garment is a substantial, sturdy jacket designed to withstand the rigours of industrial use. Every element, from the fabric composition to the removable heavy-weight fleece liner, has been selected to ensure the wearer remains protected against the elements and site-specific risks without restricted movement.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This jacket is well-suited for both print and embroidery, allowing you to maintain your corporate identity while adhering to safety standards. Embroidery is the preferred choice for a superior finish on the chest area, providing a durable and professional look for company logos or staff names. For larger branding on the back, our high-quality print process ensures your design is bold and clear.

Our in-house team in Telford has been perfecting workwear customisation since 1976. We understand how to apply branding to technical fabrics like Bizflame Rain without compromising the garment's protective properties, ensuring your team looks the part while staying safe.

Use Cases

This jacket is specifically designed for workers in the petrochemical, utility, and construction industries where flame resistance and high visibility are mandatory. It is ideal for site managers and engineers who move between different environments and require a versatile garment that handles both freezing mornings and damp, milder afternoons.

Practical Advice

To achieve full protection as specified by safety standards, this jacket should be worn in conjunction with the matching flame-resistant trousers. When choosing your size, consider whether you will typically wear the jacket with the fleece liner attached, as this will influence how the garment fits over your base layers.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high-performance characteristics of the flame-resistant and waterproof materials, it is essential to follow the care instructions precisely. Failure to do so can degrade the protective treatments and the visibility of the fabric.

We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. This ensures that dirt and contaminants are removed without damaging the technical fibres or the PU coating.

You must not use bleach, as this will destroy the flame-resistant properties and weaken the fabric structure. The jacket should not be tumble dried; instead, it should be drip line dried to maintain its shape and the integrity of the waterproof membrane. Do not iron or dry clean this garment, as the heat and chemicals involved can permanently damage the anti-static and waterproof features.
