Product Overview

The Vanadio S2 SRC is a specialist safety shoe designed specifically for environments where hygiene and protection are paramount. As part of the Base Hygiene collection, this ankle shoe provides a robust barrier against workplace hazards while maintaining the clean aesthetic required in medical, food, and pharmaceutical settings. It is a substantial, sturdy shoe that does not compromise on user comfort during long shifts on hard floors.

Key Features
  • 200 Joules resistant toe-cap: This provides critical protection for the forefoot against heavy falling objects or accidental impact, ensuring the wearer's safety in busy environments.
  • Water-resistant upper: This feature prevents liquid penetration, ensuring feet remain dry and comfortable even in wet processing areas or during wash-down procedures.
  • Shock absorption in the heel: By dampening the impact of every step, this helps reduce fatigue and strain on the joints throughout the working day.
  • Anti-static properties: Essential for preventing the build-up of static electricity, protecting both the wearer and sensitive electronic equipment.
  • Hydrocarbon resistance: The sole is designed to withstand contact with oils and chemicals, preventing premature degradation of the material and maintaining grip.

Design & Performance

The Vanadio S2 SRC is engineered for performance in demanding hygienic environments. The upper is crafted from materials that repel water, which is vital for maintaining standards in food production or clinical spaces where spillages are common. Internally, the shoe is designed to accommodate both men’s and women’s widths, ensuring a proper fit which is the first step in avoiding workplace foot fatigue.

A notable technical detail is the compatibility with DGUV112-191 compliant orthopaedic made-to-measure footbeds. This allows workers with specific podiatric needs to maintain their required support without compromising the shoe's safety certification. The SRC slip resistance rating indicates that the outsole has been rigorously tested on both ceramic and steel surfaces, providing reliable traction where moisture or cleaning agents are present.

Why No Customisation?

We provide the Vanadio S2 SRC as a finished safety product without customisation options. Safety footwear undergoes strict certification processes to meet UNI EN ISO 20345:2012 S2 standards. Any modification, such as embroidery or heat-applied branding, could potentially damage the water-resistant membrane or compromise the structural integrity of the upper, thereby voiding the safety rating. We prioritise your physical protection over branding for this specific footwear item.

Use Cases

This footwear is ideally suited for professionals in the food manufacturing industry, pharmaceutical laboratories, and healthcare facilities. The crisp white finish is designed for environments where cleanliness must be visible and easily monitored. Additionally, the hydrocarbon resistance makes it suitable for areas where light industrial chemicals or oils may be present on the floor surface.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, consider the type of socks you will be wearing; a thicker cushioned work sock may require a slightly more generous fit. If you require orthopaedic inserts, please ensure they are certified to DGUV112-191 standards to maintain the shoe's legal safety status and impact protection levels.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the cleanliness of your safety shoes is vital for both hygiene and the longevity of the materials. Regularly wiping the uppers with a damp cloth and mild detergent prevents the build-up of contaminants that can eventually crack or weaken the water-resistant barrier. Failing to remove organic matter can lead to the degradation of the synthetic upper over time.

Avoid drying these shoes near direct heat sources like radiators or heaters. High heat can cause the synthetic components to become brittle and may affect the adhesive bonds within the sole unit. Allowing them to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated area ensures the materials retain their protective properties and structural integrity for as long as possible.
