Product Overview

The i-Omega Top is a specialist ankle shoe designed for professionals who demand high-level protection without the bulk of traditional safety boots. Crafted from water-resistant full-grain leather, this shoe provides a substantial barrier against the elements while maintaining a professional silhouette. It is a metal-free solution, making it an excellent choice for environments where security scanners or non-conductive footwear are a requirement. The integration of advanced technical materials ensures that this shoe is not just a piece of protective equipment, but a sophisticated tool for the modern workplace.

Key Features

  • SlimCap Toe-Cap: Provides 200 joules of impact resistance with a low-profile design, offering essential protection without the weight or thickness of standard caps.

  • SmellStop Lining: Features an anti-odour and antibacterial treatment that prevents the growth of bacteria, ensuring the footwear remains fresh throughout the working day.

  • Non-Metallic Puncture Resistance: Includes a 3mm nail-resistant insert in the sole, protecting the foot from sharp objects while keeping the shoe flexible and light.

  • Cold Insulation: Specifically engineered to provide thermal protection in temperatures as low as -17°C, keeping feet warm in refrigerated or outdoor environments.

  • SR Slip Resistance: Tested on ceramic and glycerin surfaces to ensure superior grip and stability in hazardous underfoot conditions.

Design & Performance

Performance is at the heart of the i-Omega Top, which utilises a PU and TPU-Skin outsole for a combination of durability and shock absorption. The AirTech technology within the sole reduces the fatigue caused by long periods of standing, while the heel region is designed to absorb impact efficiently. The upper material is highly breathable, offering vapour permeability that allows moisture to escape, keeping the wearer comfortable even during high-intensity tasks. This design balance ensures that the shoe remains sturdy enough for industrial use while being ergonomically suited for peak efficiency.

Why No Customisation?

As a piece of certified safety footwear, the i-Omega Top is sold as-is. We do not offer customisation such as embroidery or heat-sealed logos on these shoes because any puncture to the leather or heat application could compromise the structural integrity and safety ratings of the product. To ensure your protection meets the EN ISO 20345:2022 standards, the item must remain in its original manufactured state.

Use Cases

These ankle shoes are ideally suited for logistics, warehousing, and engineering roles where a metal-free safety option is required. Given their cold insulation properties, they are also a sensible choice for cold-chain workers or those operating in unheated industrial environments. Their fuel and oil-resistant properties also make them highly effective for workshop and garage settings.

Why MyWorkwear

Established in 1976, MyWorkwear has spent decades refining the art of technical workwear provision. Based in Telford, our expert team understands that the right gear is fundamental to workplace safety and productivity. We select only the highest performing technical products to ensure our customers receive equipment they can rely on shift after shift.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, please consider the specific width fittings provided: 10.5 for women and 12 for men, which are designed to provide a more ergonomic and comfortable experience. If you intend to wear heavy thermal socks for winter work, ensure you have sufficient room to avoid restricting circulation, as the cold insulation already provides significant thermal benefit.

Caring for your product

To ensure your i-Omega Top shoes continue to perform at their best, consistent care is necessary. Failing to clean full-grain leather can lead to the material drying out and cracking, which will eventually negate the water-resistant properties of the shoe. We recommend removing any dirt or grit with a damp cloth after each shift to prevent long-term damage to the leather grain.

When the shoes become wet, always allow them to dry naturally in a well-ventilated space. You should never place them on or near a direct heat source such as a radiator, as this can cause the leather to become brittle and may affect the bond of the TPU-Skin sole. Regular application of a quality leather conditioner will help maintain the suppleness of the upper and extend the service life of your footwear.
