Product Overview

The T-Rex Top (also known as the T-Wall Top) is a robust, eight-inch safety boot designed for those who operate in the most demanding industrial environments. Built to meet the stringent EN ISO 20345:2022 S3S standards, this boot is constructed from premium Nabutek leather, which offers exceptional water resistance without compromising the material's natural durability. This is a substantial piece of footwear, designed for maximum protection and stability in high-risk settings.

Key Features

  • SlimCap Toe-Cap: Provides 200 joules of impact resistance while maintaining a lower profile and lighter feel than traditional steel caps, ensuring your toes are protected from falling objects.
  • SmellStop Antibacterial Lining: This specialised lining prevents the growth of bacteria and fungi, effectively eliminating odours and keeping the interior of the boot hygienic during long shifts.
  • Fortrex Puncture Resistance: A non-metallic insert designed to stop sharp objects, such as 3mm nails, from penetrating the sole, offering peace of mind on hazardous sites.
  • Thermal Insulation: Rated for both cold insulation (CI) down to -17°C and heat insulation (HI) up to 150°C, ensuring your feet remain at a comfortable temperature regardless of the external environment.
  • HRO Heat Resistant Outsole: The rubber outsole is capable of withstanding contact heat up to 300°C for one minute, making it suitable for hot works and high-temperature surfaces.

Design & Performance

The performance of the T-Rex Top is centred around the Fortrex sole system. By combining a polyurethane midsole with a sturdy rubber outsole, the boot provides a balance of shock absorption in the heel and rugged durability on the ground. The inclusion of a dedicated ladder grip (LG) in the arch area provides essential security for those frequently climbing rungs or scaffolding.

Inside, the Dry’n Air footbed facilitates air circulation, reducing moisture build-up and keeping the foot dry. The Nabutek leather upper is specifically chosen for its ability to repel water and hydrocarbons, ensuring the boot remains a reliable barrier against the elements. This is a sturdy, heavy-duty boot that prioritises structural integrity and user safety above all else.

Why No Customisation?

We do not offer customisation, such as embroidery or heat transfers, on this footwear. Safety boots are precision-engineered pieces of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Any secondary processing, such as piercing the leather with embroidery needles or applying high heat for transfers, could compromise the water-resistant membrane, weaken the structural integrity of the leather, or invalidate the manufacturer's safety certifications.

Use Cases

These boots are ideally suited for heavy construction, civil engineering, and petrochemical industries. They are particularly effective for tradespeople working on ladders or in extreme temperature conditions, where the insulation and ladder grip features become critical safety requirements.

Practical Advice

The T-Rex Top is designed with specific fits for different foot shapes, offering a width of 12 for men and 10.5 for women. Given the sturdy nature of Nabutek leather, we recommend wearing high-quality work socks to aid the breaking-in process. Ensure the laces are securely fastened to the top of the eight-inch collar to provide maximum ankle support and prevent debris from entering the boot.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high performance of your safety boots, it is essential to keep them clean. After use in muddy conditions, wipe the leather uppers with a damp cloth. Allowing mud to dry on the leather can draw out natural oils, leading to cracking and reduced water resistance over time.

If the boots become wet, allow them to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated space. You must avoid placing them directly next to heaters or radiators, as excessive heat can cause the rubber sole to become brittle and the leather to shrink. Regular application of a suitable leather conditioner will help maintain the suppleness of the Nabutek leather, extending the service life of your footwear.
