Product Overview
The T-Massive S3S Zip Boot from the Base Fortrex range is a formidable piece of safety footwear designed for the most demanding environments. Engineered to meet the rigorous EN ISO 20345:2022 standards, this 7-inch boot offers a comprehensive suite of protective features wrapped in high-quality, water-resistant Nabutek leather. It is a substantial, sturdy boot designed for those who require more than just a standard work shoe, providing ankle stability and advanced sole technology to tackle extreme temperatures and hazardous terrain.
Key Features
- SlimCap Toe-Cap: This non-metallic toe-cap is lighter and thinner than traditional steel alternatives, providing 200 joules of impact resistance without compromising the boot's profile or comfort.
- Fortrex Puncture Resistance: The non-metallic insert protects against sharp objects like 3mm nails, ensuring your feet remain safe from underfoot hazards in industrial settings.
- HRO & Temperature Insulation: The outsole is heat resistant up to 300°C for one minute, while the CI and HI ratings provide thermal protection against cold down to -17°C and heat up to 150°C respectively.
- SmellStop Antibacterial Lining: This specialised lining prevents the growth of bacteria and fungus, significantly reducing the development of odours and maintaining a healthier environment for your feet.
- Dry’n Air Footbed: An integrated system that promotes air circulation within the boot, helping to keep feet dry and comfortable during long shifts.
- Ladder Grip (LG): The sole design includes specific geometry to improve stability and safety when climbing or descending ladders.
Design & Performance
The T-Massive is built for endurance. The upper is crafted from Nabutek leather, which provides excellent water resistance and durability against abrasions. The 7-inch height, coupled with a secure zip closure, offers significant ankle support and convenience for the wearer. The Fortrex sole is a sophisticated blend of PU and Rubber, offering a balance of cushioning and extreme slip resistance (SR) on both ceramic and glycerin surfaces. This performance-oriented construction ensures that whether you are working on hot asphalt or icy scaffolding, your footing remains secure.
Why No Customisation?
As a piece of safety footwear certified to EN ISO 20345:2022 standards, we do not offer customisation on this product. Any physical modification, such as embroidery or heat-applied transfers, could potentially compromise the structural integrity of the leather or interfere with the safety certifications that protect the wearer. We prioritise your safety by providing this equipment exactly as the manufacturer intended.
Use Cases
This boot is specifically designed for professionals in heavy construction, civil engineering, and industrial maintenance. Its temperature-resistant properties make it ideal for foundry work or cold storage environments, while the ladder grip and slip resistance are essential for telecommunications engineers or site managers navigating complex structures.

Practical Advice
This model is designed with versatility in mind, offering a Men's Width 12 and a Women's Width 10.5 to ensure a secure fit for different foot shapes. We recommend wearing a high-quality technical work sock to complement the moisture-wicking properties of the SmellStop lining. The zip feature allows for easy removal, but ensure the laces are properly adjusted initially to provide the correct level of ankle support.
Caring for your product
To maintain the performance and longevity of your T-Massive boots, regular maintenance of the Nabutek leather is essential. Neglecting the leather can lead to cracking and a loss of water-resistant properties over time. We recommend cleaning off dirt and mud with a soft brush and applying a suitable leather conditioner periodically.
Allow the boots to dry naturally in a well-ventilated area if they become wet. Do not place them directly against a heat source like a radiator, as rapid drying can make the leather brittle and weaken the adhesive bonds in the sole. Regularly check the sole for trapped debris to ensure the slip resistance and ladder grip remain effective.
