Product Overview

The K-Hurry and K-Boogie Top Boots represent a sophisticated leap in safety footwear technology, blending high-level protection with the ergonomic benefits of the Kaptiv range. Designed as a substantial high shoe, these boots are built to withstand the rigours of demanding industrial environments while prioritising the long-term musculoskeletal health of the wearer. By integrating the innovative i-daptive system, the boot intelligently manages energy, providing stability on uneven terrain and cushioning during repetitive movements.

Constructed with a premium nubuck upper and a robust PU/rubber outsole, this footwear meets the rigorous S3L HRO FO SR standards. It is more than just a protective layer; it is a technical tool designed to enhance performance and reduce fatigue throughout a long shift on-site.

Key Features

  • Aluminium Toe-Cap: Providing 200 joules of impact resistance, the aluminium cap offers substantial protection against falling objects while remaining lighter than traditional steel, reducing the overall effort required during each step.
  • Fresh’n Flex Puncture Resistance: This fabric insole provides a flexible barrier against sharp underfoot hazards, ensuring full protection without the rigidity associated with metal plates.
  • SmellStop Antibacterial Lining: The specialised lining helps prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi, keeping the interior hygienic and reducing the development of unpleasant odours over time.
  • HRO Heat Resistant Outsole: The double-density outsole is tested to resist heat up to 300°C for one minute, making it suitable for environments where hot surfaces are a constant factor.
  • SR Slip Resistance: Tested for grip on ceramic surfaces with glycerin, these boots offer dependable traction to help prevent slips and falls in challenging conditions.

Design & Performance

The performance of these boots is anchored by the i-daptive system, which acts as a dynamic shock absorber. This technology works by dissipating high impact energy and returning it in a controlled manner, which helps to maintain correct posture and reduces the strain on the wearer’s joints. The nubuck upper provides a durable yet breathable exterior, while the water-resistant properties ensure your feet remain dry in damp conditions.

Internally, the Dry’n Air Omnia footbed facilitates air circulation, preventing moisture build-up and ensuring a comfortable climate inside the boot. The double-density PU/rubber outsole provides a sturdy foundation that is resistant to hydrocarbons, ensuring the integrity of the sole is maintained even when in contact with oils or fuels.

Why No Customisation?

We do not offer customisation, such as embroidery or printing, on these safety boots to ensure the integrity of the protective materials is never compromised. Piercing or heat-treating the nubuck upper could damage the water-resistant properties and potentially invalidate the S3L safety certifications. For your safety, these boots are supplied in their original, tested state.

Use Cases

These boots are ideally suited for professionals in construction, civil engineering, and heavy industrial sectors where high-specification protection is non-negotiable. The HRO rating also makes them a sensible choice for workers frequently operating on hot asphalt or near high-heat machinery. With specific widths available for both men and women, they provide a precise fit for a wide range of tradespeople.

Why MyWorkwear

Since 1976, MyWorkwear has been a trusted provider of technical workwear and safety equipment. Operating from our expert facility in Telford, we draw upon decades of experience to select only the highest quality products for our customers. We understand that your footwear is a critical piece of safety equipment, and we treat it with the professional respect it deserves.

Practical Advice

These boots are designed with a generous fit to accommodate different foot shapes; specifically, a width of 10.5 for women and 12 for men. They are also compatible with orthopaedic made-to-measure footbeds complying with DGUV112-191 norms. We recommend wearing high-quality work socks to enhance the moisture-wicking properties of the SmellStop lining and to ensure the most comfortable fit within the i-daptive system.

Caring for your product

Proper maintenance is essential to ensure your safety footwear continues to perform to its certified standards. We recommend regularly removing dirt and debris from the nubuck upper using a soft brush. Allowing mud to dry and remain on the leather can lead to cracking and premature degradation of the material.

If the boots become wet, they should be allowed to dry naturally in a well-ventilated area. You must avoid placing them near direct heat sources, such as radiators, as this can cause the rubber outsole to become brittle and the leather to shrink or warp. Periodic application of a suitable nubuck protector will help maintain the water-resistant properties of the upper.

Finally, inspect the soles and toe-cap area regularly for signs of excessive wear or damage. Should the protective components become exposed or the tread significantly worn, the boots should be replaced to ensure your safety on-site remains uncompromised.
