Product Overview
The I-Robox Blue Shoe S3 ESD SRC from the Base Record collection is a sophisticated fusion of protection and ergonomic design. Engineered for professionals who spend long hours on their feet, this shoe provides the robust safety of an S3 rating without the weight typically associated with industrial footwear. By integrating advanced ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection, it serves as a critical component for those working in high-tech manufacturing and electronic assembly where static control is non-negotiable.
Key Features
- SlimCap Toe Protection: The 200-joule resistant SlimCap provides vital protection against impact and compression. Because it is non-metallic, it reduces the overall weight of the shoe and avoids interference with metal detectors.
- SmellStop Antibacterial Lining: This lining features a permanent antibacterial treatment that prevents the growth of bacteria and fungi, keeping your feet fresh and reducing the likelihood of odours after a long shift.
- Fresh’n Flex Midsole: This puncture-resistant sole plate ensures that sharp objects underfoot do not pose a risk, while remaining flexible enough to support the natural movement of the foot.
- Air Tech + TPU-Skin Sole: Our anti-fatigue technology provides a cushioning effect that absorbs shock and returns energy, significantly reducing foot fatigue and joint strain throughout the day.
- ESD Protection: Engineered to protect sensitive electronic devices from electrostatic discharges, these shoes meet EN 61340-4-3 standards, making them indispensable in sensitive environments.
Design & Performance
The I-Robox is constructed with a PU/TPU upper that offers reliable water resistance, keeping your feet dry in damp conditions. The outsole is similarly crafted from a PU/TPU blend, which is not only resistant to hydrocarbons such as oils and fuels but also provides SRC-rated slip resistance on varied surfaces. For added durability, the design includes an overcap to protect the front of the shoe from abrasion, a common failure point in work footwear. The shoe remains entirely metal-free, ensuring it is both lightweight and practical for high-security sites.
Why No Customisation?
As this product is certified Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) under EN ISO 20345, we do not offer customisation options. Any modification to the upper, such as embroidery or heat-applied logos, could potentially breach the water-resistant membrane or compromise the safety certifications and ESD properties of the shoe. To ensure your safety remains our priority, we provide these as-is.
Use Cases
This footwear is specifically designed for specialists in the electronics, automotive, and aerospace industries where ESD protection is a requirement. It is also an excellent choice for warehouse managers, logistics personnel, and light industrial workers who need a substantial, protective shoe that remains comfortable during miles of walking on hard floors.

Practical Advice
While the I-Robox includes a padded collar for comfort, we recommend wearing high-quality technical socks to complement the SmellStop lining. This shoe is compatible with orthopaedic made-to-measure footbeds complying with DGUV112-191 norms. If you are between sizes, consider the substantial nature of the anti-fatigue sole and the width requirements for your specific foot type, as this model supports both men's and women's widths.
Caring for your product
Maintaining the integrity of your safety footwear is essential for long-term protection. We recommend cleaning the PU/TPU uppers regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap to remove dirt and chemical residues that could degrade the material. Neglecting this can lead to premature cracking and a loss of water resistance.
Always allow your shoes to dry naturally in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources. Placing safety shoes on a radiator can cause the technical materials to warp or become brittle, which may compromise the bond between the sole and the upper. Periodic inspection of the tread is also advised to ensure the slip-resistant properties have not been diminished by excessive wear or debris.
