Product Overview

The Be-Grey Mid S3 CI SRC is a high-specification safety boot from the Classic Plus collection, designed for professionals who require uncompromising protection without the bulk of traditional metal components. This substantial, sturdy boot is built to withstand rigorous industrial environments while ensuring the wearer remains comfortable throughout the working day. With its sophisticated black and grey aesthetic, it offers a professional appearance that matches its technical capabilities.

Key Features

  • Water Resistant Upper: The treated upper prevents moisture ingress, ensuring your feet remain dry and comfortable even when working in damp or unpredictable outdoor conditions.
  • Metal-Free Construction: By utilising advanced materials instead of metal, these boots are suitable for high-security environments and are significantly lighter than traditional steel-toed alternatives.
  • 200 Joules Resistant Toe-Cap: This provides a critical safety barrier against impact and compression, protecting the delicate bones of the feet from falling objects.
  • Cold Insulation (CI): Rated to provide thermal protection in temperatures as low as -17°C, these boots are ideal for those working in cold storage or harsh winter climates.
  • Puncture Resistant Sole: A high-strength midsole prevents sharp objects like nails or shards from penetrating the footbed, a mandatory requirement for construction and demolition sites.

Design & Performance

The performance of the Be-Grey Mid is rooted in its adherence to the UNI EN ISO 20345:2012 S3 standard. The design incorporates shock absorption in the heel region, which is particularly beneficial for those spending long hours on their feet on hard industrial flooring. The sole is also resistant to hydrocarbons, meaning it won't degrade when exposed to oils or fuels, maintaining its grip and structural integrity over time. Furthermore, the inclusion of an orthopaedic made-to-measure footbed, complying with European DGUV112-191 norms, allows for a level of custom comfort rarely found in standard safety footwear.

Why No Customisation?

We do not offer customisation on the Be-Grey Mid safety boots because any modification to the structure of safety footwear—such as embroidery or heat-pressing—could potentially compromise the integrity of the materials. To ensure the boots continue to meet their S3 safety certification and provide the advertised level of water and cold resistance, they must remain in their original manufactured state. Your safety is, quite frankly, more important than a logo on your toe.

Use Cases

These boots are specifically engineered for tradespeople in the construction, engineering, and logistics sectors. They are particularly well-suited for workers in cold environments, such as refrigerated warehouses, or for those frequently passing through security scanners where metal-free footwear is a logistical necessity.

Why MyWorkwear

Since 1976, MyWorkwear has been at the forefront of the UK workwear industry. Operating from our base in Telford, we have spent nearly five decades helping businesses protect their most valuable assets: their people. We select our range based on technical merit and proven performance, ensuring you receive gear that actually does the job it says on the box.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, remember that these boots feature a substantial orthopaedic footbed. We recommend wearing a dedicated work sock to ensure the best fit and to maximise the moisture-wicking properties of the boot's interior. If you are working in sub-zero temperatures, the cold insulation will perform best when the boots are stored in a dry, room-temperature environment overnight.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high-performance standards of your footwear, it is essential to clean them regularly. Use a soft brush or damp cloth to remove dirt and debris from the water-resistant upper. Allowing mud to sit on the material can dry it out and lead to premature cracking, which would be a pity for both the boot and your feet.

If your boots become wet internally, allow them to dry naturally in a well-ventilated area. Avoid placing them directly against a radiator or heat source, as extreme heat can warp the sole and damage the adhesives, effectively ending the life of the boot prematurely. Regular treatment with a suitable leather or synthetic protector will also help maintain the water-resistant barrier.
