Product Overview

The Be-Fast Top S3 HRO CI HI SRC is a robust, high-specification safety boot from the Classic Plus collection, designed to meet the rigorous demands of industrial and hazardous environments. This footwear is not merely a shoe; it is a piece of precision-engineered PPE designed to offer comprehensive protection against a multitude of site hazards, from falling objects to extreme temperature fluctuations. Its S3 rating ensures a baseline of excellence, while the additional technical specifications make it an essential choice for professionals who require more than just the standard level of safety.

Key Features

  • 200 Joules resistant toe-cap: This integrated safety feature provides essential protection against impact and compression, ensuring the foot is shielded from falling heavy objects or accidental crushing.

  • Puncture resistant sole: A reinforced midsole prevents sharp objects such as nails or shards from penetrating the boot, which is vital for safety on construction and demolition sites.

  • Heat resistant outsole (HRO): The sole is designed to withstand contact temperatures of up to 300°C for one minute, providing security when working on hot surfaces or near high-heat processes.

  • Dual Thermal Insulation (CI & HI): These boots are designed to regulate temperature, offering cold insulation down to -17°C and heat insulation up to 150°C, keeping feet comfortable in extreme climates.

  • Water resistant upper: The material is treated to prevent water penetration, ensuring that your feet remain dry during outdoor tasks or in damp conditions.

  • Shock absorption heel: The heel region is engineered to absorb energy, reducing the strain on your joints and back during long shifts on hard standing.

Design & Performance

The Be-Fast Top is a substantial, sturdy boot that prioritises both durability and ergonomic support. Despite its heavy-duty appearance, it features a men's width fit and an orthopaedic made-to-measure footbed that complies with European DGUV112-191 norms. This ensures that the footwear supports the natural alignment of the foot, reducing fatigue. The upper is not only water-resistant but also resistant to hydrocarbons, making it ideal for environments where oils and fuels are present. The SRC slip resistance rating indicates that the sole has been tested for maximum grip on both ceramic and steel surfaces.

Why No Customisation?

As this product is certified Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) under the UNI EN ISO 20345:2012 S3 standard, we do not offer customisation. Adding embroidery or heat-applied transfers could potentially compromise the structural integrity of the water-resistant upper or interfere with the safety certifications of the boot. To ensure your safety is never secondary to branding, we supply this item in its original, tested form.

Use Cases

This footwear is ideally suited for heavy industry, including engineering, construction, and roadworks. Given its HRO and CI/HI ratings, it is particularly effective for workers in asphalt laying, metalwork, or cold storage facilities where temperature regulation and sole protection are paramount. It is also a sensible choice for site managers who require a boot that transitions from the office to the rugged terrain of a construction site.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, consider the type of socks you intend to wear. Given the thermal insulation properties of the Be-Fast Top, a medium-weight boot sock is often sufficient. Ensure the laces are securely fastened to allow the shock-absorbing heel and the orthopaedic footbed to function as intended. If you require a custom orthopaedic insert, this model is specifically designed to accommodate them while remaining compliant with safety standards.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and longevity of these safety boots, regular cleaning is essential. After a shift, use a soft brush or damp cloth to remove mud and debris from the water-resistant upper. Allowing dirt to build up can cause the material to dry out and crack over time, which would compromise the boot's ability to repel water.

If the boots become wet internally, allow them to dry naturally in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources such as radiators. Forcing the drying process with high heat can damage the technical fibres and the hydrocarbon-resistant sole. Regularly checking the tread for trapped stones or sharp objects will help maintain the SRC slip resistance and prevent premature wear of the puncture-resistant sole.
