Product Overview
The S845 Bar Apron is a streamlined solution for hospitality and service professionals who require essential protection without the bulk of a full-length bib. Designed for efficiency in fast-paced environments, this waist apron offers a professional appearance while ensuring the wearer remains comfortable and agile throughout their shift.
Measuring 72cm by 38cm, it provides ample coverage for the lower torso and thighs, effectively shielding trousers from spills and debris common in catering and retail settings. The inclusion of a generous storage pocket ensures that essential tools, from order pads to handheld terminals, are always within easy reach.
Key Features
- Integrated Large Pocket: Provides substantial storage space for pens, tablets, or payment devices, ensuring you can manage service without constant trips back to the counter.
- Anti-Tangle Side Ties: Engineered to remain secure and lie flat, reducing the risk of knots or snagging during busy periods.
- High-Performance Kingsmill Fabric: A carefully selected blend that offers exceptional durability and a consistent finish even after repeated industrial cleaning.
- Pre-Shrunk Material: Guarantees that the apron retains its original dimensions and shape after laundering, preventing the warping often seen in lesser garments.
Design & Performance
This apron is manufactured using Kingsmill Polycotton, a fabric renowned for its high-performance characteristics. By combining 65% polyester with 35% cotton, the material achieves a perfect balance between technical resilience and natural breathability. The polyester provides the necessary strength to withstand the rigours of a kitchen or bar environment, while the cotton ensures the wearer remains cool.
The fabric is specifically engineered for superior dye retention, meaning the deep black colour will remain sharp and professional rather than fading to grey. This is particularly important for front-of-house staff who serve as the face of your business.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The smooth, tight weave of the Kingsmill fabric makes the S845 an excellent candidate for customisation. For those seeking a professional, high-end appearance, we recommend embroidery. Our Telford-based team can produce intricate logos and staff names that sit beautifully on this material, providing a durable branding solution that survives high-temperature washing.
Alternatively, for businesses requiring large, bold graphics or promotional messaging, our print services offer vibrant results. Whether you choose print or embroidery, all customisation is handled in-house by our expert team, drawing on decades of experience established since 1976.
Use Cases
This apron is a versatile staple for various trades. It is ideally suited for bar staff, baristas, and waitstaff who need to carry equipment while maintaining a smart uniform. It is also frequently utilised by bakers and butchers who require accessible storage and protection for their lower garments without the restriction of a full chest piece.

Practical Advice
When tying the apron, we recommend ensuring the ties are flat against the waist to prevent pressure points during long shifts. If you are layering this over heavier trousers or a thick tunic, ensure the ties are adjusted to sit securely without digging in, as the Kingsmill fabric is robust and will hold its position once fastened.
Caring for your product
To maintain the structural integrity and professional finish of your apron, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C. Washing at this temperature ensures the removal of stubborn organic stains without damaging the polyester fibres or the custom branding.
Bleaching agents must be avoided entirely. Using bleach will compromise the fabric's strength and cause immediate, irreversible damage to the dye, leading to a patchy and unprofessional appearance.
For drying, use a low temperature setting on your tumble dryer. Excessive heat can cause synthetic fibres to become brittle over time, whereas a low-heat cycle helps maintain the fabric's soft handle and longevity.
When ironing, do not exceed a temperature of 150°C. This is sufficient to remove wrinkles and restore the apron's crisp look without risking heat damage to the polyester component or any applied print work.
For garments requiring a more intensive clean, this product is suitable for professional dry cleaning using Tetrachloroethene, which effectively removes oils and greases while preserving the garment's shape.
