Product Overview
The P952 A2P3 Combination Filter is a sophisticated respiratory protection component designed for professionals operating in environments where exposure to hazardous gases and airborne particles is a significant risk. As an A2P3 rated filter, it is engineered to provide a high level of protection, specifically classified as a Class 2 filter for gases and a Class 3 filter for particles. This ensures a robust barrier against solvents, toxic particulates, and even micro-organisms, making it an essential addition to your workplace safety protocol.
Each pack contains four filters, allowing for a systematic replacement schedule. The design utilises the Portwest bayonet connection system, which prioritises security and ease of use, ensuring that the interface between the mask and the filter remains airtight and reliable throughout the duration of your task.
Key Features
- Class 2 Gas Protection: Offers a higher capacity for filtering out specific organic gases and vapours with a boiling point above 65°C, such as common industrial solvents, ensuring you breathe easier in chemically dense environments.
- Class 3 Particle Filtration: Provides maximum efficiency in capturing toxic dusts, mists, and biological agents, protecting your respiratory system from long-term damage caused by microscopic hazards.
- Secure Bayonet Connection: The specialised locking mechanism ensures the filter is correctly aligned and tightly sealed to the mask, reducing the risk of accidental detachment or seal failure.
- Twin Filter Design: Distributes weight evenly across the face mask, which significantly improves the balance of the respirator and reduces neck strain during extended periods of wear.
Design & Performance
Constructed from durable ABS material, these filters are built to withstand the rigours of a demanding workspace. The lightweight housing ensures that while the filtration technology inside is substantial, the overall physical weight remains low, preventing the mask from feeling cumbersome or front-heavy.
The performance of the P952 is defined by its dual-action capability. By combining chemical absorption with mechanical filtration, it addresses multiple threats simultaneously. The low breathing resistance design allows for efficient airflow, meaning you don't have to work harder just to breathe while you are focused on the job at hand.
Why No Customisation?
We do not offer customisation on the P952 Combination Filter because it is a critical piece of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Any modification to the filter housing, such as printing or labelling, could potentially compromise the structural integrity of the ABS casing or interfere with the airflow and filtration efficiency. Your safety is our primary concern, and maintaining the manufacturer’s original specification is essential for the product to perform its life-saving function.
Use Cases
These filters are ideal for professionals working in automotive spray booths, chemical processing plants, and pharmaceutical laboratories. They are also highly effective for decorators working with high-VOC solvents or industrial cleaners dealing with potentially hazardous micro-organisms. They are specifically designed for use with the P500 Full Face masks and the P420, P430, P421, and P431 Half Masks.

Practical Advice
Before beginning any task, ensure that the bayonet connection is fully engaged and that you have performed a negative pressure fit check with your compatible mask. We recommend checking the compatibility of your specific mask model against the P952 before purchase to ensure a perfect seal. Always replace both filters in a twin-filter system simultaneously to maintain balance and consistent protection levels.
Caring for your product
To maintain the performance and longevity of your filters, it is essential to store them correctly when not in use. Filters should be kept in their original, sealed packaging until required, as exposure to the atmosphere will begin to exhaust the active carbon elements inside, even if you are not actively wearing the mask.
Store your filters in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight and chemical contaminants. Moisture and humidity can degrade the particle filtration media, while exposure to high temperatures can affect the ABS casing and the internal seals. Never attempt to clean a filter with water or compressed air, as this will destroy the internal structure and render the filter useless.
Inspect the filters before every use for any signs of physical damage or clogging. If you notice an increase in breathing resistance or if you can detect the smell or taste of a contaminant, the filters have reached their saturation point and must be replaced immediately to ensure your continued safety.
