Product Overview

The Nimbus Womens Torrance is a sophisticated reimagining of the classic denim shirt, specifically tailored for a professional and feminine silhouette. This garment moves away from the traditional, heavy-set roughness of utility denim, opting instead for an elegant indigo finish that suits modern corporate and hospitality environments. By blending the heritage of denim with contemporary design elements like shaded dark blue buttons, Nimbus has created a shirt that provides a polished, high-end appearance for the modern workplace.

Key Features
  • Feminine Cut: This shirt is expertly tailored to provide a professional fit that complements the wearer, moving away from the boxy shapes of standard workwear.
  • Stretch Material: The inclusion of elastane within the weave ensures the garment provides a full range of motion, which is vital for active staff members.
  • Feminine Styled Button Fastening: Every detail, including the buttons, has been selected to provide a cohesive and elegant look that differentiates this from a standard utility shirt.
  • Garment Washed: The fabric undergoes a pre-wash process to ensure a soft handle from the very first wear, removing the stiffness typical of raw denim.

Design & Performance

The Torrance shirt is constructed from a refined blend of 98% cotton and 2% elastane. This light-to-medium weight fabric offers the natural breathability of high-quality cotton, while the synthetic elastane fibers provide essential recovery, meaning the shirt maintains its shape even after long shifts and repeated laundering. The deep indigo blue is achieved through a careful dyeing process that provides a rich, consistent colour, serving as a professional backdrop for your business branding.

Furthermore, this garment is produced under strict ethical standards, carrying accreditations such as Amfori BSCI and Oeko-Tex. This ensures that the shirt is not only durable and well-engineered but also meets rigorous environmental and social responsibility criteria, which is an increasingly important factor for modern businesses.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This shirt is exceptionally well-suited for both print and embroidery, allowing for versatile branding options. For a traditional and durable professional finish, we recommend embroidery; it is particularly effective for chest-mounted logos or staff names, giving the garment a bespoke feel. If your branding requires a larger, more graphic approach, the high-quality cotton weave supports vibrant print applications across the back.

At MyWorkwear, our Telford-based team has been handling customisation in-house since 1976. We understand the technical requirements of different fabrics, ensuring that your logo is applied with the correct tension and thread count to maintain the garment’s stretch and integrity.

Use Cases

The Torrance is an ideal choice for front-of-house staff in the hospitality sector, boutique retail teams, or corporate environments where a smart-casual uniform is preferred. Its blend of durability and style makes it suitable for staff who need to look professional while remaining active throughout the day.

Practical Advice

This shirt features a feminine cut designed to be more form-fitting than unisex alternatives. We suggest referring to the size guide to ensure the best fit across the shoulders and bust. For a layered look during cooler months, this shirt works well under a structured waistcoat or a fine-knit jumper.

Caring for your product

To preserve the deep indigo colour and the integrity of the stretch fibers, it is essential to follow the recommended care instructions. Maintaining the fabric properly ensures that your embroidered or printed branding remains looking professional for as long as possible.

We recommend washing this garment at a moderate temperature and avoiding the use of bleach. Harsh chemicals can break down the elastane fibers, which would eventually lead to the shirt losing its tailored shape and sagging. Additionally, washing inside out can help prevent the indigo dye from fading prematurely and protects any custom branding from abrasive contact with other items in the wash.
