Product Overview

The Nimbus Women’s Redmond jacket is a sophisticated piece of outerwear designed for the modern professional who requires a balance of aesthetic elegance and technical performance. This three-quarter length jacket offers a tailored, feminine silhouette that belies its robust weather-protective capabilities. Engineered to handle the unpredictability of the British climate, it serves as a cross-seasonal essential that transitions seamlessly from a morning commute to a client meeting.

Key Features
  • Windproof and Waterproof Construction: The integration of a TPU membrane and critically taped seams ensures you remain dry and shielded from biting winds, providing reliable protection in inclement conditions.
  • Adjustable Drawstring Hood: The hood features a functional drawstring, allowing for a precise fit that prevents heat loss and keeps the elements at bay.
  • Bionic Finish ECO: This water-repellent finish is not only effective at shedding rain but is also a more environmentally conscious choice for your corporate wardrobe.
  • Breathable Performance: Despite its protective outer layer, the fabric is designed to allow moisture to escape, ensuring you remain comfortable and fresh throughout the day.
  • Feminine Three-Quarter Length: The extended length provides additional coverage and a streamlined look that complements professional attire.

Design & Performance

The Redmond jacket is constructed from a high-quality polyester twill outer fabric, chosen for its durability and smooth finish. Beneath the surface, a technical TPU membrane provides a barrier against water while maintaining breathability. The jacket is notably lightweight, ensuring that it does not feel cumbersome when worn over multiple layers. The internal lining, also crafted from polyester, provides a smooth interface that prevents the jacket from clinging to your clothing. This is a well-engineered garment designed for longevity, featuring taped seams in critical areas to prevent water ingress at the points of highest stress.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The smooth twill surface of the Redmond jacket makes it an excellent candidate for both print and embroidery. For businesses seeking a refined, premium appearance, we recommend embroidery. This method is ideal for rendering company logos or staff names with a textured, high-quality finish that withstands regular wear. Alternatively, for larger branding requirements or bold visual statements, our technical printing processes provide a crisp and vibrant result. Every customisation project is handled by our expert in-house team in Telford, drawing on decades of experience since 1976 to ensure your brand is represented with precision.

Use Cases

This jacket is ideally suited for corporate environments, site visits, or hospitality roles where a professional appearance must be maintained regardless of the weather. It is an excellent choice for staff who travel between locations or for those representing a company at outdoor events. The understated, elegant design also makes it a versatile piece for high-end retail or management uniforms.

Choosing MyWorkwear means partnering with a company that has been at the forefront of the industry since 1976. Practical Advice

The Redmond jacket features a feminine fit; we recommend consulting the size guide to ensure the best fit, particularly if you intend to wear substantial knitwear or multiple layers beneath it. The lightweight nature of the fabric makes it a perfect outer layer that won't add unnecessary bulk to your silhouette.

Caring for your product

To maintain the technical integrity of this jacket, it is essential to follow the specific care instructions provided on the internal tag. Proper maintenance ensures that the TPU membrane and water-repellent finish continue to perform as intended over the lifespan of the garment.

We advise avoiding the use of fabric softeners, as these can clog the pores of the breathable membrane and degrade the Bionic Finish ECO, eventually compromising the jacket's ability to repel water and manage moisture. Regular, gentle cleaning will help to remove dirt and oils that can otherwise damage the fabric's structure and the effectiveness of the taped seams.
