Product Overview

The Nimbus Womens Prescott is a masterclass in modern functional design, offering a streamlined aesthetic without compromising on technical performance. This lightweight jacket is engineered for the professional woman who requires a garment that transitions seamlessly from corporate environments to outdoor site visits. Crafted with a firm focus on sustainability, it utilises recycled materials to provide a sophisticated layer that respects both the wearer and the environment. The Prescott is not merely a jacket; it is an essential piece of professional outerwear designed for cross-seasonal versatility.

Key Features

  • Weather-Resistant Construction: The waterproof and windproof shell provides reliable protection against the unpredictable British elements, ensuring you remain dry and professional in all conditions.

  • Stretch Fabric Integration: By blending recycled nylon with a high percentage of spandex, the garment offers superior flexibility and freedom of movement throughout the working day.

  • Enhanced Breathability: An integrated TPU membrane and polyester mesh lining work in tandem to allow moisture to escape, preventing the build-up of heat during active use.

  • Secure Weather Seals: Featuring a water-repellent main zip and integrated storm cuffs, the jacket is designed to effectively lock out drafts and driving rain.

  • Sustainability Credentials: Being GRS certified, this jacket meets high standards for recycled content and responsible production practices.

Design & Performance

The Prescott is constructed from a refined technical blend, resulting in a lightweight fabric that feels substantial yet unobtrusive. The inclusion of a high-performance TPU membrane provides a robust barrier against wind and rain while maintaining a breathable internal environment. The Bionic Finish ECO treatment adds an extra layer of water repellency, ensuring moisture beads off the surface rather than soaking into the fibres. Internally, the polyester mesh lining promotes airflow, making this an ideal choice for multi-seasonal use where temperature regulation is paramount. The minimal detailing ensures the jacket retains a clean, professional silhouette regardless of the environment.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

To truly represent your organisation, the Prescott offers an excellent canvas for both print and embroidery. Our Telford-based team, who have been perfecting their craft since 1976, recommends embroidery for a traditional, high-definition professional finish on the chest or sleeves, which is ideal for corporate logos. For larger, more striking designs that require a sharp visual impact, our technical printing processes ensure your branding remains vibrant and durable. Each garment is handled in-house to ensure the technical properties of the waterproof fabric are respected during the customisation process.

Use Cases

This jacket is perfectly suited for corporate uniforms, professional site inspections, or as a sophisticated layer for client-facing roles. Its clean lines and minimal detailing allow it to be worn over formal business attire or paired with more casual trousers, making it a versatile asset for any professional wardrobe where a polished appearance is required.

Practical Advice

The Prescott features a feminine, streamlined fit and is available in sizes ranging from XS (UK 8) to 3XL (UK 20). Given its lightweight nature, it serves as an excellent outer layer over a knit or a technical polo shirt. We recommend consulting the sizing guide to ensure a fit that allows for comfortable movement without losing the jacket's elegant silhouette. The stretch fabric is forgiving, but a proper fit is essential for maintaining the jacket's professional lines.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the technical integrity of this jacket is straightforward but requires adherence to specific guidelines to preserve its performance features. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 30°C using a normal process. Washing at higher temperatures may degrade the TPU membrane and the water-repellent finish, reducing the jacket's effectiveness in wet weather.

Avoid the use of bleach, as harsh chemicals will compromise the recycled nylon fibres and the integrity of your custom branding. This garment should not be tumble dried; instead, allow it to air dry naturally to prevent heat damage to the spandex and waterproof seals. Tumble drying can cause the technical components to warp or lose their shape.

Ironing is strictly prohibited, as direct heat can melt the technical shell and the internal membrane. Similarly, dry cleaning should be avoided to prevent chemical damage to the Bionic Finish ECO coating. Following these steps ensures your jacket remains a reliable and professional part of your attire for the long term.
