Product Overview

The Nimbus Sierra represents a significant advancement in the design of the classic channel down jacket, offering a sophisticated blend of technical performance and refined aesthetics. This garment is engineered for those who require reliable warmth without the burden of excessive weight, utilising high-quality materials to ensure a premium experience. With its updated wavy channels and contrast lining, the Sierra provides a modern silhouette that transitions seamlessly from outdoor site visits to professional corporate environments. The inclusion of high-quality YKK Metalux zips adds a touch of luxury and ensures long-term functional reliability.

Key Features
  • 700 Fill Power Insulation: This high-grade duck down and feather blend provides exceptional thermal retention by trapping air efficiently, ensuring you stay warm in cold conditions without the need for a bulky garment.
  • Bionic Finish ECO: This sustainable water-repellent finish allows moisture to bead off the surface, providing protection during light showers while maintaining the fabric's breathability and soft feel.
  • YKK Metalux Main Zipper: The use of premium YKK hardware ensures smooth operation and durability, preventing the common frustration of zip failure in high-use workwear.
  • Hidden Zip Side Pockets: These discreetly integrated pockets offer secure storage for essential items while maintaining the jacket's clean and professional lines.
  • Sustainable Construction: Adhering to REACH and Global Compact standards, this jacket is a responsible choice for businesses prioritising ethical procurement and environmental consciousness.

Design & Performance

The Sierra is constructed with a 100% nylon outer shell and lining, chosen for its strength and lightweight properties. The fabric is specifically designed to contain the 90% duck down and 10% duck feather insulation, which is distributed through stylish wavy channels. These channels are not merely a design choice; they serve to keep the insulation evenly dispersed, preventing cold spots from forming over time.

Despite its substantial warmth, the jacket remains remarkably light, making it an ideal choice for professionals who are constantly on the move. The water-repellent finish provides an essential layer of defence against the elements, ensuring the down remains dry and effective even when the weather turns unpredictable.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The Nimbus Sierra is an excellent canvas for showcasing your brand. For a truly professional appearance, we recommend embroidery. This method is particularly suited to the padded nature of the jacket, allowing logos and staff names to be rendered with precision and depth on the chest or sleeves.

Alternatively, for those requiring larger, more prominent branding, our high-quality print services are available. This is ideal for bold company logos on the back of the garment. All customisation is handled in-house at our Telford facility by our expert team, drawing on nearly five decades of experience to ensure your branding is executed to the highest possible standard.

Use Cases

This jacket is perfectly suited for corporate uniforms, professional outdoor roles, and management personnel who require a smart, weather-resistant outer layer. Its refined design also makes it a popular choice for high-end promotional wear and client-facing roles where presentation is paramount.

Practical Advice

The Sierra is available in a wide size range from S to 4XL, designed to provide a comfortable fit across various body types. For those working in particularly harsh environments, this jacket serves as an excellent outer layer over a technical base layer or a medium-weight fleece. We recommend reviewing the specific size guide to ensure the best fit for your team.

Caring for your product

To maintain the technical performance and aesthetic appeal of your jacket, it is essential to follow the specific care instructions found on the internal label. Proper maintenance ensures the long-term loft of the down and the integrity of the outer fabric.

Failure to follow the correct washing procedures can cause the duck down insulation to clump, which significantly reduces the jacket's ability to retain heat. It is important to avoid harsh chemicals that could degrade the Bionic Finish ECO, as this would compromise the jacket's water-repellent capabilities.

When drying, the garment should be handled with care to ensure the down is fully lofted once more. Neglecting this process can lead to a flat appearance and a loss of thermal efficiency, undermining the premium nature of the garment.
