Product Overview

The Nimbus Carlington is a sophisticated evolution of the classic polo, designed for professionals who require a garment that sits comfortably between casual workwear and a formal shirt. This long-sleeved version provides a distinguished appearance, making it an ideal choice for corporate environments where a refined aesthetic is paramount. Crafted from a blend of combed organic cotton and elastane, it delivers both a premium feel and a practical fit that moves with the wearer.

Key Features
  • Classic Double Thread Pique: This substantial knit provides a durable, textured finish that is both breathable and resistant to daily wear.
  • Button-Down Cuffs: These shirt-style details offer a more structured look than standard ribbed cuffs, allowing for a smarter presentation in professional environments.
  • Organic Cotton Blend: Utilising 95% combed organic cotton ensures a soft touch against the skin while meeting high environmental standards.
  • Two-Button Placket: A clean, traditional design element that allows for adjustable ventilation and a professional neckline.
  • Subtle Decoration Details: Coloured neck tape and bottom slits add a touch of refined detail that distinguishes this garment from standard corporate wear.

Design & Performance

Engineered with a medium-weight fabric, the Carlington offers more substance than a standard polo without feeling heavy or restrictive. The inclusion of 5% elastane is crucial for performance; it provides necessary stretch for daily movement and ensures the garment retains its shape after repeated wear and washing. The combed organic cotton undergoes a specific process to remove short fibres, resulting in a smoother, stronger yarn that resists pilling and maintains its professional appearance over time.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The Carlington is an excellent canvas for customisation. Given its refined design, we highly recommend embroidery for corporate logos or staff names. Embroidery provides a three-dimensional, high-quality finish that complements the sophisticated pique texture of the fabric. For larger, bold promotional designs, our Telford-based team can also apply high-quality prints. Since 1976, MyWorkwear has been perfecting these techniques in-house to ensure your branding is as durable as the garment itself.

Use Cases

This polo is perfectly suited for customer-facing staff, sales teams, and corporate events where a standard short-sleeved polo might feel too casual. It is also an excellent option for management within the hospitality or service sectors who require a professional uniform that remains comfortable throughout a long shift. The long sleeves make it a versatile piece for year-round use in temperature-controlled environments.

Practical Advice

The Carlington is designed for a tailored, refined fit. If you prefer a more relaxed feel or intend to wear a lightweight base layer underneath, you may wish to consider one size larger than your usual measurement. The sizing range from S to 4XL ensures that entire teams can be outfitted in a consistent look regardless of individual requirements.

Caring for your product

To maintain the structural integrity and colour of your garment, we recommend following the internal care label precisely. Regular washing at moderate temperatures helps prevent the organic cotton fibres from becoming brittle, ensuring the polo remains soft and comfortable for the duration of its life.

Avoid using harsh bleaching agents, as these can break down the elastane fibres, causing the garment to lose its shape and elasticity over time. When drying, it is best to avoid high heat cycles to prevent shrinkage. If ironing is necessary, do so on a medium setting and avoid direct contact with any printed or embroidered branding to preserve the professional finish of your custom logo.
