Product Overview
The Henbury Women's Coolplus polo shirt is a high-performance garment specifically engineered for the professional environment. It bridges the gap between traditional workwear and technical sportswear, providing a tailored silhouette that does not compromise on functionality. By utilising advanced Coolplus wicking yarn, this polo shirt actively manages moisture, ensuring the wearer remains dry and composed during long shifts or in high-pressure hospitality and corporate settings.
Key Features
- Coolplus Wicking Technology: The yarn is specifically designed to transport moisture away from the skin to the surface of the fabric for rapid evaporation, keeping you cool throughout the day.
- Micro Piqué Weave: This tight, refined knit provides a smooth, professional surface that is more sophisticated than standard piqué fabrics.
- Fitted Shape: Designed with a feminine cut to provide a professional, smart appearance that avoids the bulk of unisex alternatives.
- Side Vents: These allow for a greater range of movement at the hip, preventing the garment from riding up or pulling when active.
- Ribbed Cuffs and Flat Knit Collar: These reinforced elements ensure the polo maintains its structural integrity and smart shape even after repeated laundering.
Design & Performance
Constructed from 100% polyester micro piqué, this polo shirt is a lightweight and breathable choice for active roles. The technical nature of the fabric means it offers excellent colour retention, ensuring that your company branding looks vibrant even after months of use. Unlike standard cotton polos, the Coolplus yarn provides permanent wicking performance that won't wash out, alongside an easycare finish that requires minimal ironing to maintain a crisp look.
The garment is also accredited by SEDEX, WRAP, and Oeko-Tex Standard 100, providing assurance that your workwear has been produced to high ethical and safety standards. With a size range from XS to 3XL, it is a versatile choice for outfitting entire teams.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The micro piqué fabric of the HB476 is an excellent canvas for both print and embroidery. For a traditional and durable professional appearance, we recommend embroidery on the chest or sleeve; the stable knit of the Henbury fabric supports intricate logo work without puckering.
If you require larger, high-impact branding across the back, our modern printing techniques are perfectly suited to the smooth polyester surface. Every order is managed by our expert in-house team in Telford, where we have been refining our customisation processes since 1976 to ensure your brand is represented with precision.
Use Cases
This polo shirt is an ideal choice for the hospitality industry, where staff must remain cool under pressure while maintaining a high standard of presentation. It is equally effective for corporate events, retail environments, and any role that requires a blend of physical activity and professional interaction.

Practical Advice
For the best performance, this polo shirt should be worn as a base layer directly against the skin to allow the wicking technology to function correctly. If you are between sizes, consider the fitted nature of this garment; you may wish to refer to our size guide to ensure the desired silhouette.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-performance wicking properties of the Coolplus yarn, it is essential to follow the care instructions carefully. We recommend a synthetic wash at 40°C, though the garment is safe to wash at up to 60°C for higher hygiene requirements. Washing at these temperatures ensures the removal of oils and perspiration without damaging the polyester fibres.
Under no circumstances should you use fabric softener. Softeners coat the technical fibres, effectively blocking the wicking pores and preventing the fabric from drawing moisture away from your skin. This will significantly degrade the performance of the shirt.
Tumble dry on a low temperature only. Excessive heat can cause synthetic fabrics to lose their shape or develop a shine. If ironing is required, use a cool setting on the reverse of the garment to protect the fabric and any applied customisation. Do not bleach or dry clean, as these harsh chemicals can break down the polyester structure and fade the fabric colour.
