Product Overview
The Kids TriDri performance baselayer is a technical garment engineered to provide a supportive, locked-in fit for young athletes. Designed specifically for the demands of training sessions and competitive game days, it utilizes a sophisticated fabric blend that manages moisture effectively while maintaining a close-to-skin silhouette. This long-sleeved layer is essential for temperature regulation, ensuring the wearer remains comfortable whether they are on the field or the track.
Key Features
- Fitted design: Provides a compression-style fit that supports muscle movement and sits comfortably under team kits or school uniforms.
- Lightweight fabric construction: Offers a versatile layer that provides warmth without adding unnecessary bulk or weight to the athlete's attire.
- UPF 40+ protection: Delivers a high level of ultraviolet protection, which is vital for outdoor sports and activities in varied weather conditions.
- Crew neck styling: A classic, non-restrictive neckline that ensures comfort during high-intensity movement.
- Twin-needle stitching: Used on the hem and arms to provide enhanced durability and a professional finish that stands up to frequent use.
Design & Performance
The performance of this baselayer stems from its precise material composition, featuring 65% Nylon, 24% Polyester, and 11% Elastane. This specific blend provides the high-stretch properties required for a full range of motion, while the synthetic fibres work to wick sweat away from the body. The inclusion of elastane ensures the garment retains its shape, even after rigorous sessions.
For the comfort of the younger wearer, TriDri has omitted branded neck or waist labels. Instead, the garment features removable tags and a discrete inner seam label. This design choice prevents the common irritation caused by traditional labels, allowing the athlete to focus entirely on their performance.
Why No Customisation?
We provide this specific performance baselayer without customisation to ensure the garment performs exactly as intended. As a skin-tight layer, any internal embroidery or external vinyl could potentially cause skin irritation or compromise the impressive elasticity of the fabric. By maintaining the garment in its original state, we ensure maximum comfort and full range of movement for the wearer.
Use Cases
This baselayer is an ideal choice for school PE kits, youth football academies, and athletics clubs. It is equally effective as a thermal base for winter sports or as a standalone lightweight top for summer training, thanks to its integrated sun protection. Its unisex design makes it a versatile addition to any junior sports wardrobe.

Practical Advice
When selecting a size, please note that this is a fitted garment designed to sit close to the skin. If your child prefers a slightly looser fit for casual wear, you may wish to consider a size larger than the standard fit for their age group. This item works exceptionally well when layered under a technical polo or a windproof jacket for outdoor activities.
Caring for your product
To maintain the technical integrity and performance of the fabric, we recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. This temperature is sufficient to remove dirt and bacteria while being gentle enough to preserve the elastic fibres that give the garment its stretch. Using higher temperatures can lead to the degradation of the elastane, eventually causing the baselayer to lose its supportive fit.
We advise against the use of fabric softeners, as these can coat the fibres and reduce the moisture-wicking capabilities of the polyester blend. Additionally, avoid ironing or tumble drying on high heat, as excessive heat can damage the synthetic structure of the fabric, leading to premature wear and tear.
