Product Overview

The Kariban Men's short-sleeved Oxford shirt is a staple of professional attire, blending the traditional aesthetic of a button-down with modern fabric technology. This garment is engineered for those who require a crisp, sharp appearance without the high-maintenance requirements usually associated with formal wear. Its short-sleeved design makes it particularly suitable for warmer environments or high-activity roles where temperature regulation is paramount.

Key Features

  • The easy-care fabric blend ensures the shirt resists excessive creasing, allowing you to maintain a professional look throughout a demanding shift with minimal effort required after laundering.

  • A classic button-down collar keeps the neckline structured and tidy, preventing the collar points from curling or moving during active work.

  • The inclusion of a V-shaped left chest pocket provides a practical storage solution for pens or essential small items, ensuring they remain accessible at all times.

  • A double back yoke with two side pleats offers an enhanced range of motion across the shoulders, ensuring the garment moves with the wearer rather than restricting them.

  • The shaped hem provides versatility, allowing the shirt to be worn either tucked in for a traditional formal look or untucked for a smarter, modern aesthetic.

Design & Performance

This shirt is constructed from a balanced 70% cotton and 30% polyester Oxford weave. This specific composition leverages the natural breathability and soft hand-feel of cotton while utilising polyester's inherent strength and resilience. The result is a lightweight fabric that feels substantial enough for daily workwear while remaining comfortable against the skin.

From a technical standpoint, the Oxford weave is renowned for its durability and distinctive textured appearance. The "Easycare" finish is not merely a label; it is a performance feature designed to withstand the rigours of frequent laundering, ensuring the garment retains its shape and professional finish over time. Ethical production is also at the forefront, with certifications from WRAP, BSCI, and Oeko-Tex ensuring the shirt meets high international standards for social and environmental responsibility.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The Kariban Men's Oxford shirt serves as an excellent canvas for corporate branding. For a truly professional and long-lasting finish, we recommend embroidery. The structural integrity of the Oxford weave supports high-density stitching, making it ideal for displaying company logos or individual names on the chest or collar. This method provides a premium, three-dimensional appearance that withstands industrial laundering.

For larger promotional graphics or bold branding on the back of the shirt, print is an effective alternative. Our expert in-house team at our Telford facility—where we have been refining our craft since 1976—ensures that every application is precise and durable, helping your team maintain a consistent brand identity.

Use Cases

This garment is highly versatile, making it an ideal choice for hospitality staff, corporate office environments, and front-of-house teams. Its expansive size range, spanning from Small to 6XL, ensures that every member of your workforce can be outfitted in a uniform that fits correctly and looks cohesive.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, refer to the detailed chest measurements provided. As this shirt features a back yoke with side pleats, it offers a more generous fit across the back than a standard slim-fit shirt. If you are between sizes and prefer a more tailored look, you may wish to consider the smaller option, though the extra room is often appreciated for active work roles.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the professional appearance of your Oxford shirt requires following specific care instructions to protect both the fabric and your custom branding.

We recommend a normal machine wash at 40°C. Exceeding this temperature can lead to fabric shrinkage and may compromise the integrity of printed designs or cause embroidery threads to pucker over time.

Do not use bleach, as these harsh chemicals will strip the colour from the fabric and weaken the fibres, leading to premature wear. Similarly, tumble drying should be avoided; the high heat of a dryer can distort the shape of the shirt and cause the collar to lose its structured finish. Instead, hang the garment to air dry naturally.

When ironing, use a low heat setting not exceeding 110°C. High heat can damage the synthetic fibres within the polyester blend and may melt or distort any applied customisation. For the best finish, iron the shirt while it is still slightly damp.
