Product Overview
The Henbury HB850 Microfleece Jacket is a sophisticated staple for any professional wardrobe, designed to provide consistent warmth without the bulk of traditional heavy outerwear. This medium-weight jacket is crafted from high-quality polyester microfleece, featuring a brushed back that provides an exceptionally soft handle against the skin. Unlike standard fleeces, the HB850 is engineered with a smooth surface specifically intended to facilitate high-quality decoration, ensuring your corporate identity is presented with clarity and precision. It is an ideal choice for professionals who require a garment that balances thermal efficiency with a smart, polished appearance.
Key Features
- Anti-Pill Finish: The fabric is treated to resist the formation of small bobbles, ensuring the jacket maintains its professional 'as new' look even after extensive wear and repeated laundering.
- Secure Front Zip Pockets: Integrated pockets provide a safe space for essential tools or personal items, keeping them accessible while maintaining a streamlined silhouette.
- Drop Tail and Side Vents: The extended rear hem offers increased coverage when bending or reaching, while the side vents ensure the garment moves with the wearer rather than restricting them.
- Soft Stand Collar: Designed to provide additional protection against draughts without causing irritation to the neck, enhancing overall comfort during long shifts.
- Outer Hanging Loop: A practical addition that allows for easy storage in locker rooms or offices without damaging the neck line of the garment.
Design & Performance
At the core of the HB850 is a 100% polyester microfleece that prioritises both durability and thermal performance. The medium-weight fabric is dense enough to trap heat effectively in cold environments while remaining breathable enough for indoor use. The inclusion of self-coloured binding at the neck edge and a sewn-in tag reflects a commitment to detail and long-term wearability. The side vents are a thoughtful design touch, preventing the jacket from 'riding up' when seated or performing manual tasks, making it as functional as it is aesthetic.
Customisation: Embroidery Only
Due to the textured 'pile' of microfleece, this garment is offered exclusively for embroidery. While printed designs would struggle to adhere evenly to the fibrous surface, embroidery allows the thread to be securely anchored into the fabric structure. This results in a premium, three-dimensional finish that is far more durable and professional than other methods. Our in-house embroidery team, operating since 1976, utilises high-denier threads to ensure your logo remains crisp and vibrant, perfectly complementing the soft texture of the Henbury fleece.
Use Cases
This jacket is highly versatile, making it a popular choice for customer-facing roles in the hospitality and trade sectors. It serves excellently as a mid-layer for construction site managers or as a primary outer layer for delivery drivers and office staff working in cooler environments. Its smart appearance also makes it suitable for promotional events and trade shows where a cohesive team look is essential.

Practical Advice
The HB850 features a standard fit ranging from Small to 3XL. When selecting your size, consider what you intend to wear underneath; if you plan to layer this over a thick sweatshirt, you may wish to verify your measurements against our size guide. The side vents provide extra room around the hips, which is particularly beneficial for those who carry tools on a belt.
Caring for your product
Maintaining the integrity of microfleece requires a specific approach to laundering to ensure the anti-pill finish remains effective and the embroidery stays taut. We recommend a synthetic wash at 40°C. Using a higher temperature can damage the polyester fibres, leading to a loss of shape and a reduction in the fabric's thermal properties.
Always wash and dry the jacket inside out. This simple step protects the embroidered logo from abrasion against the washing machine drum and other garments. Dark colours should be washed separately to prevent any potential dye transfer. Avoid the use of bleach at all costs, as it will weaken the synthetic fibres and cause significant discolouration to both the jacket and the embroidery threads.
For drying, use a low temperature tumble dry setting. Excessive heat can cause the fleece to 'shrink' or lose its soft handle. If ironing is required, use a cool setting (one dot) and only iron on the reverse of the fabric to avoid crushing the fleece pile or damaging the embroidered design.
