Caring for your product
Maintaining the performance and appearance of your custom-branded t-shirt requires adherence to specific care protocols. We recommend a warm machine wash at 40°C. This temperature is effective for removing dirt and oils without causing excessive wear to the cotton fibres or the customisation.
Always wash the garment inside out and with like colours. Turning the t-shirt inside out protects the face of the fabric and any printed or embroidered logos from the abrasive action of the washing machine drum, which can lead to premature fading or cracking of designs.
Use only non-chlorine bleach when necessary. Chlorine bleach is highly aggressive and will break down the natural cotton fibres and strip the colour from the garment, leading to a weakened structure and a dull appearance.
For drying, use a medium tumble dry setting. Excessive heat can cause natural cotton to shrink significantly and may damage the adhesives used in some printing processes. Once dry, if you must iron the garment, ensure you do not iron directly over any decorated areas. The high heat of an iron can melt print transfers or distort embroidery threads, causing irreparable damage to your branding. Finally, do not dry clean this garment, as the industrial solvents used can be too harsh for the cotton and the custom applications.
