Product Overview
The Craghoppers Expert Kiwi short-sleeved shirt is a sophisticated piece of technical workwear designed for professionals who demand both comfort and protection in the field. This shirt is engineered from a robust blend of 65% recycled polyester and 35% cotton, striking a perfect balance between environmental responsibility and high-performance durability. Designed specifically for those working in environments where pests and sun exposure are daily challenges, it serves as a reliable barrier against the elements while maintaining a smart, authoritative appearance.
Key Features
- Nosi Defence Technology: The fabric is constructed with a weave so dense that insects are unable to bite through, providing essential protection for outdoor workers in rural or wooded environments.
- SolarShield Collar: A specially designed collar that offers an additional layer of protection against UV rays, reducing the risk of sun damage during long shifts outdoors.
- Recycled Materials: By incorporating recycled polyester and recycled zip tape, this garment supports your company's sustainability initiatives without sacrificing structural strength.
- Sustainable Construction: Accredited by the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) and REACH, ensuring your workwear is produced to the highest ethical and safety standards.
Design & Performance
Performance is built into every fibre of the Expert Kiwi shirt. The lightweight fabric ensures that the wearer remains cool and comfortable throughout the day, which is vital for maintaining productivity in warmer weather. Despite its light feel, the fabric is exceptionally tough; the bite-proof technology is a physical property of the weave itself, meaning it won't wash out or lose effectiveness over time. The recycled polyester content provides excellent moisture management and ensures the shirt is quick-drying and resistant to creasing, keeping your team looking professional from start to finish.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
This shirt is an ideal canvas for corporate branding, supporting both print and embroidery. For a truly professional and enduring finish, we recommend embroidery for company logos and individual staff names. It provides a tactile, premium look that withstands the rigours of industrial laundering. For larger, high-visibility branding on the back of the shirt, our high-quality printing services offer a bold and clear solution. Every garment is customised in-house at our Telford facility, where our team has been perfecting the art of workwear branding since 1976.
Use Cases
This garment is perfectly suited for estate management, agricultural work, and outdoor surveying where insect protection is a priority. Its clean lines and professional cut also make it a superior choice for logistics and delivery teams who require a lightweight, durable shirt that maintains its shape and colour throughout a busy season.

Practical Advice
The Expert Kiwi shirt features a generous size range from S to 3XL. When selecting your size, consider that the fabric is designed for movement; if you are between sizes and prefer a more tailored look for office-based roles, you may wish to size down. For those working in active outdoor roles, the standard fit provides the necessary range of motion for physical tasks. This shirt layers exceptionally well over a base layer on cooler mornings.
Caring for your product
To ensure your shirt maintains its technical bite-proof properties and professional finish, it should be washed with similar colours. This prevents any potential dye transfer and keeps the fabric looking fresh for longer.
It is important to avoid the use of bleach or water softeners. Bleach will weaken the recycled fibres and can damage the fabric's integrity, while water softeners can leave a residue that interferes with the shirt's natural breathability. A domestic wash at 40°C is generally sufficient.
The shirt can be tumble dried on a low setting, which is preferable to high heat that might affect the recycled polyester components. If required, use a warm iron to remove any creases. Please note that this garment should not be dry cleaned, as the harsh chemicals involved are unnecessary and could potentially degrade the fabric's specialized weave.
