Product Overview

The Build Your Brand Organic Kids Basic Zip Hoodie is a high-quality, sustainable choice for businesses and organisations requiring youth-sized workwear or team uniforms. Constructed from 100% organic cotton with a substantial brushed fleece interior, this hoodie balances comfort with a professional appearance. The full-length zip provides practical flexibility, allowing for quick layering during physical activity or changing temperatures. Designed specifically for the demands of active use, it features a classic set-in sleeve and a functional hood, ensuring the wearer remains protected and comfortable throughout the day.

Key Features
  • 100% Organic Cotton: This skin-friendly fabric is grown without harmful chemicals, making it an excellent choice for sensitive skin and environmentally conscious brands.
  • Brushed Fleece Interior: The inner fabric has been brushed to create a soft, insulating layer that provides significant warmth without excessive bulk.
  • Full-Length Zipper: The sturdy zip allows for easy removal and adjustment, which is particularly useful for younger wearers in a school or club environment.
  • Ribbed Cuffs and Hem: Wide ribbing at the extremities ensures the garment retains its shape over time and prevents heat from escaping.
  • Kangaroo Pocket: A classic design feature that provides a practical space for small essentials or for keeping hands warm in cooler conditions.

Design & Performance

This hoodie is engineered to be more than just casual wear; it is a durable garment designed to withstand the rigours of daily use by children. The use of a heavy-weight organic cotton fleece ensures the hoodie feels sturdy and substantial. Because the fabric is 100% cotton, it offers superior breathability compared to polyester-rich alternatives, while the brushed finish on the inside provides a high level of comfort. The set-in sleeves offer a more structured, professional silhouette than a raglan cut, making it ideal for formal club or school branding.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The Build Your Brand hoodie is an excellent canvas for both print and embroidery, allowing you to represent your organisation with clarity. Embroidery is particularly recommended for school crests or club logos on the chest, as it provides a traditional, long-lasting, and professional finish that stands up well to frequent laundering. For larger, more complex designs such as back-prints for events or trip hoodies, our high-quality printing techniques offer a vibrant and bold result. Our expert team in Telford, established in 1976, oversees the entire process to ensure your branding is applied with precision.

Use Cases

This garment is perfectly suited for school uniforms, youth sports clubs, and promotional events. Its organic credentials also make it a top choice for eco-conscious organisations looking to provide high-quality merchandise or staff-standard uniforms for junior members of a team.

Practical Advice

When selecting sizes for children, we recommend considering the layering that may be worn underneath. As this is a zip hoodie, it works exceptionally well over t-shirts or polo shirts. The tear-out tag is a useful feature for those looking to rebrand the garment or for children who find traditional neck labels irritating.

Caring for your product

To maintain the structural integrity and colour of the organic cotton, we recommend a machine wash at 30°C on an easy-care cycle. Using higher temperatures can lead to fabric shrinkage and may affect the longevity of any applied print or embroidery.

It is important to avoid the use of bleach, as this will aggressively break down the organic fibres and strip the garment of its colour. Similarly, do not tumble dry this hoodie; allowing it to air dry will prevent the fleece from becoming matted and ensure the garment keeps its original shape.

When ironing, use a low heat setting and avoid direct contact with any printed areas. Hot ironing can melt the print or damage the delicate brushed surface of the cotton. Finally, do not dry clean this garment, as the chemicals used in the process are too harsh for the natural organic fibres.
