Product Overview

The Brook Taverner Neptune Jersey Stretch Dress is a sophisticated solution for the modern professional woman who requires a balance of elegance and daily functionality. Crafted from a medium-weight jersey fabric, this dress offers a refined silhouette that adapts to the movements of a busy working day. The design prioritises a professional aesthetic without the restrictive nature of traditional formal tailoring, making it an essential component of a contemporary corporate wardrobe.

Key Features
  • Flattering Waistline Detail: The inclusion of strategic waistline detailing provides a structured shape that enhances the professional silhouette across various body types.
  • 3/4 Length Sleeves: This sleeve length offers a versatile and practical solution, providing professional coverage while remaining comfortable for year-round wear.
  • Integrated Stretch Lining: Unlike standard linings that can feel restrictive, this stretch-capable lining moves in harmony with the outer fabric for unrestricted motion.
  • Classic Round Neckline: The modest round neck provides a clean and professional appearance, serving as a perfect backdrop for corporate accessories or branded scarves.

Design & Performance

The performance of the Neptune dress is rooted in its technical fabric composition, featuring 95% Polyester and 5% Elastane. The polyester ensures the garment is hard-wearing and resistant to the unsightly creasing that often occurs during long periods of sitting or active work. The 5% elastane provides the necessary 'give,' allowing the dress to retain its original shape even after repeated wear. With a centre back length of 96.5cm in a size 12R, it offers a professional length that is both modest and stylish.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

To elevate your brand identity, this dress is perfectly suited for both print and embroidery. For a truly prestigious and durable finish, we recommend embroidery for company logos or staff names. Our expert team in Telford, established in 1976, utilizes high-precision machinery to ensure every stitch contributes to a professional appearance that lasts.

If your branding requires larger or more intricate designs, our high-quality printing process offers a sharp and vibrant alternative. Whether you choose the texture of embroidery or the clarity of print, we handle all customisation in-house to maintain the highest standards of quality control.

Use Cases

This garment is exceptionally well-suited for front-of-house staff, corporate receptionists, and professionals within the hospitality and travel industries. Its comfort-led design also makes it a preferred choice for management roles where a consistent, authoritative brand image must be maintained throughout long shifts.

Practical Advice

The Neptune dress is designed for a 'flattering fit,' and the stretch fabric provides a degree of flexibility in sizing. If you are between sizes, the elastane content typically allows for a comfortable fit in the smaller size. To create a more formal ensemble, this dress layers perfectly under a structured blazer without adding unnecessary bulk.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the professional finish of your Neptune dress is straightforward, as the garment is fully machine washable. We recommend a standard domestic wash cycle to keep the jersey fabric fresh and to ensure the navy pigment remains deep and consistent over time.

To preserve the elastic properties of the fabric, avoid using high-heat drying methods or harsh bleaching agents, which can cause the elastane to degrade and lead to a loss of shape. For the best results, hang the dress immediately after washing to reduce the need for ironing and to maintain the integrity of the waistline detail.
