Product Overview

The Brook Taverner Milo Non-Iron Pilot Shirt is a technically proficient garment designed for professionals who demand a sharp, authoritative appearance without the burden of extensive maintenance. This long-sleeved shirt is engineered specifically for aviation, security, and high-end hospitality environments where a crisp uniform is non-negotiable.

By utilising a premium non-iron cotton twill, this shirt provides a solution for the modern professional who values both time and presentation. The tailored fit ensures a contemporary profile that looks refined under a uniform jacket or when worn as a standalone outer layer.

Key Features

  • Tailored Fit: Designed to provide a streamlined silhouette that reduces excess fabric, ensuring a modern and clean appearance.

  • Non-Iron Twill Fabric: Employs advanced textile finishing to resist wrinkling, allowing the garment to maintain a professional look throughout long shifts without the need for ironing.

  • Functional Epaulettes: Essential for the attachment of rank slides or identification, making this shirt suitable for regulated professional environments.

  • Dual Chest Pockets: Featuring pointed flaps for a classic aesthetic, these pockets provide secure storage for essential documentation.

  • Integrated Pen Holder: One pocket includes a dedicated slot, ensuring writing instruments are always accessible for logbooks and manifests.

  • Classic Collar & Single Cuff: Traditional design elements that facilitate a professional look when paired with a tie or corporate accessories.

Design & Performance

The performance of the Milo shirt is centred on its 100% cotton twill construction. This lightweight fabric is woven to offer superior breathability, which is vital for comfort in the fluctuating temperatures of a cockpit or office environment. Unlike heavier fabrics, this fine weave allows for maximum air circulation while maintaining a soft, high-quality hand-feel against the skin.

The durability of the twill weave ensures that the shirt can withstand the rigours of frequent laundering while retaining its structural integrity. The non-iron technology is integrated into the fibres, meaning the shirt naturally sheds creases as it dries, ensuring you remain composed even after hours of wear.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

Ensuring your team is easily identifiable is a core part of professional branding. At MyWorkwear, our Telford-based experts, established in 1976, handle all customisation in-house to ensure the highest standards of quality. For the Milo Pilot Shirt, we highly recommend embroidery for your company logo or staff names.

Embroidery provides a sophisticated and durable finish that complements the premium cotton fabric, maintaining its appearance through repeated wash cycles. For larger, more distinctive branding on the back or sleeves, our precision printing services offer a vibrant and clear alternative that integrates seamlessly with the garment's design.

Use Cases

This shirt is specifically tailored for commercial and private pilots, cabin crew, and airport ground staff. Its functional features also make it an excellent choice for security personnel, private chauffeurs, and luxury transport operators who require a uniform that signifies authority and professionalism.

Why MyWorkwear

With a heritage stretching back to 1976, MyWorkwear has nearly half a century of experience in delivering high-quality uniforms to British industry. Operating from our facility in Telford, we combine traditional craftsmanship with modern technology to ensure every garment we customise meets our exacting standards for durability and professional appearance.

Practical Advice

Given the tailored fit of this garment, we recommend selecting your size carefully to ensure comfort across the chest and shoulders. This shirt is designed to be layered effectively under a structured uniform blazer or a fine-gauge knitwear piece for a complete professional ensemble.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high-performance non-iron finish and ensure the longevity of your garment, proper care is essential. Adhering to the recommended guidelines will preserve the fabric's integrity and the vibrancy of any custom branding.

Wash the shirt at the recommended temperature using a mild detergent. Avoid overfilling the washing machine, as this can cause unnecessary mechanical stress on the fabric and lead to deep-set creasing that may bypass the non-iron properties.

We strongly advise against the use of bleach, which can weaken the natural cotton fibres and cause the white fabric to yellow over time. For the best results, remove the shirt promptly from the machine once the cycle has finished and hang it immediately. This allows the non-iron technology to work effectively as the garment dries naturally, resulting in a smooth finish without the need for heat application.
