Product Overview
The Bella Canvas BE150 is a sophisticated interpretation of the heavyweight t-shirt, designed for those who require a garment with more substance and a modern silhouette. Drawing inspiration from the boxy aesthetics of the 1990s, this unisex t-shirt provides a structured look that remains comfortable throughout the working day. Constructed with precision, it is a significant step up from standard lightweight options, offering a premium feel that is immediately apparent to the wearer.
Key Features
- Side-seamed construction ensures the garment retains its shape and structural integrity, preventing the twisting often associated with lower-quality tubular designs.
- The relaxed, boxier fit offers a contemporary aesthetic that allows for better airflow and ease of movement in active work environments.
- Crafted from 100% Airlume combed ringspun cotton, providing a smooth, high-density surface that is ideal for high-definition customisation.
- A tear-out tag allows for a clean finish and eliminates irritation, making it suitable for those with sensitive skin or for re-branding purposes.
- Accredited by WRAP, the Fair Labour Association, and Bluesign, ensuring that your workwear meets rigorous ethical and environmental standards.
Design & Performance
This is a heavyweight garment, providing a robust and durable feel without the coarseness often found in heavy fabrics. The use of 100% Airlume combed ringspun cotton is a mark of technical quality; the combing process removes impurities and shorter fibres, leaving only the longest, strongest, and smoothest strands. This results in a fabric that is exceptionally soft to the touch but strong enough to withstand the demands of daily wear. The substantial weight of the fabric ensures it drapes elegantly, maintaining a professional appearance even after a long shift.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The dense weave of this heavyweight t-shirt makes it an exemplary candidate for both print and embroidery. For a professional corporate identity, embroidery is highly recommended. The thickness of the fabric provides a stable base for detailed needlework, ensuring logos and names sit proudly on the chest without pulling or puckering the material. Conversely, the smooth surface of the Airlume cotton is perfect for large-scale printing, allowing for vibrant colours and sharp details that won't fade or crack prematurely. All customisation is carried out by our expert in-house team in Telford, who have been perfecting these techniques since MyWorkwear was established in 1976.
Use Cases
Due to its modern cut and premium weight, the BE150 is perfectly suited for creative industries, retail environments, and hospitality staff who want a uniform that feels like high-street fashion. It is also a popular choice for high-end event merchandise and festival wear, where a standard t-shirt simply won't suffice.

Practical Advice
This garment features a relaxed, boxy fit. If you are looking for a more traditional, snug fit, you might consider selecting one size smaller than your usual measurement. However, the design is intended to be loose-fitting for a modern look. It layers exceptionally well under work jackets or overshirts due to its flat, smooth finish.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-quality finish of the Airlume cotton and the integrity of your custom branding, we recommend a warm machine wash with the garment turned inside out. This simple step reduces the friction on the outer surface and protects your logo from the mechanical action of the wash cycle.
When washing, use only non-chlorine bleach. Chlorine can be incredibly harsh on cotton fibres, leading to premature thinning of the fabric and a loss of colour vibrancy.
We strongly advise that you do not tumble dry this t-shirt. High heat can cause the heavy cotton fibres to shrink and may damage the adhesive or threads used in your custom design. Air drying on a flat surface or hanger is the best way to preserve the boxy shape.
Finally, do not iron directly over any decoration. Direct heat can melt print or distort embroidery. If ironing is necessary, do so on a low setting on the reverse of the garment to keep your branding in pristine condition.
