Product Overview

The Westford Mill Garment-dyed oversized tote bag is a substantial and versatile addition to any professional or promotional equipment list. Built for those who require more than just a standard carrier, this bag offers an exceptionally generous capacity, measuring 56 x 41 x 16cm. It is crafted from 100% GRS-certified recycled cotton, providing a sturdy and environmentally responsible alternative to traditional bags. The garment-dyeing process ensures that every individual piece possesses a unique character, with a washed-effect finish that matures over time, adding a touch of distinct personality to your brand identity.

Key Features
  • Extra-large capacity: Provides ample space for bulky items, ensuring you can transport everything from heavy technical equipment to marketing collateral without needing multiple carriers.
  • 100% GRS-certified recycled cotton: Utilises sustainably sourced materials certified by Control Union, enhancing your company's environmental credentials while maintaining structural integrity.
  • Cotton webbing handles: Engineered for maximum comfort, these handles distribute weight effectively when the bag is carried by hand or over the shoulder.
  • CutAway label: Designed specifically for businesses looking to rebrand, the label can be easily removed to allow for clean, bespoke internal finishing.

Design & Performance

Constructed from heavyweight canvas, this tote bag is built for resilience. The fabric is durable enough to withstand the rigours of daily professional use, whether that involves site visits or retail environments. The garment-dyeing process does more than just provide a unique aesthetic; it gives the cotton a softer, more flexible hand-feel from the first use. The substantial dimensions ensure that the bag maintains its shape even when loaded. Because of the nature of the dye, the colour may vary slightly between units and will fade gracefully over time, mirroring the high-quality ageing process of high-end denim.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The heavy canvas construction of this bag provides a stable and reliable foundation for custom branding. For those seeking a professional finish, embroidery is highly recommended; the thick cotton weave holds dense stitching exceptionally well, allowing for crisp, textured logos that will outlast the bag itself. Alternatively, given the expansive surface area of 56 x 41cm, screen printing or vinyl transfers are ideal for bold, large-scale designs that need to be visible from a distance. Our expert team in Telford, established in 1976, will ensure your branding is applied with technical precision to match the bag's unique washed aesthetic.

Use Cases

This oversized tote is an excellent choice for retail staff, event organisers, or as a high-quality gift for clients who value sustainability. It is particularly well-suited for businesses in the creative, heritage, or eco-conscious sectors where a standard polyester bag simply would not suffice. Its capacity also makes it a practical companion for tradespeople needing to carry lighter garments or documentation between jobs.

Why MyWorkwear

At MyWorkwear, we have been perfecting the art of garment customisation since 1976. Operating from our specialised facility in Telford, we combine decades of heritage with modern technical expertise. We understand that your workwear and accessories are a direct reflection of your business's standards, which is why every bag we process undergoes rigorous quality checks before it leaves our workshop.

Practical Advice

When selecting your branding for this bag, consider the garment-dyed finish. Designs that lean into a vintage or distressed aesthetic often complement the washed fabric better than ultra-clean, clinical graphics. Due to the large size, ensure your logo is scaled appropriately to make full use of the available space without being lost in the folds of the fabric when carried.

Caring for your product

To maintain the structural integrity and the unique colour profile of this bag, we recommend that you sponge clean only. Applying excessive water or heat through a machine wash can cause the recycled cotton fibres to shrink and may lead to significant fading of the specialised garment dye.

Should the bag become soiled, use a damp cloth with mild detergent on the affected area. Avoid using bleach or harsh chemicals, as these will strip the dye and weaken the canvas, ultimately shortening the lifespan of your professional equipment.
