Product Overview
The Towel City Classic range bath towel is a staple for any professional setting requiring high-quality linens, from hospitality and leisure facilities to corporate gifting. Constructed from 100% ringspun cotton, this towel offers a reliable balance of soft texture and practical performance. Designed to withstand the rigours of frequent use, it provides the absorbency required for commercial environments while maintaining a respectable appearance over time.
Key Features
100% Ringspun Cotton: The use of ringspun yarns creates a smoother, more durable surface compared to standard cotton, ensuring longevity even with repeated washing.
Double Herringbone Border: These decorative borders at both edges provide a sophisticated finish that maintains the towel's shape and prevents fraying.
Convenient Hanging Loop: A practical addition that allows for easy storage and more efficient drying in professional changing facilities or bathrooms.
Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Accreditation: This ensures the textile has been tested for harmful substances, providing peace of mind regarding skin safety and environmental standards.
Design & Performance
This medium-weight bath towel is engineered for durability without sacrificing comfort. The 100% ringspun cotton composition is specifically chosen for its superior absorbency and quick-drying properties, which are essential for high-turnover environments. At 70 x 130cm, it provides ample coverage for adult use.
The weave is tight and consistent, resulting in a fabric that feels substantial and robust. The herringbone border is not merely aesthetic; it reinforces the structural integrity of the towel's ends, preventing the puckering often seen in inferior products. This is a well-engineered textile built for professional reliability.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
To transform a standard towel into a branded asset, we offer professional customisation options tailored to this specific fabric. Embroidery is particularly effective on this towel's ringspun surface, providing a raised, high-quality finish for company logos or names that looks exceptionally professional and lasts the life of the product.
For larger, more vibrant promotional designs, print is also an option. Since 1976, our in-house team in Telford has been perfecting these techniques, ensuring that your branding is applied with precision. Whether you are kitting out a boutique gym or creating corporate hampers, we handle every stitch and press with expert care.
Use Cases
This towel is ideally suited for the hospitality industry, including hotels and bed-and-breakfasts, as well as sports clubs, spas, and leisure centres. It also serves as an excellent canvas for personalised corporate gifts or promotional merchandise for lifestyle brands.

Practical Advice
At 70 x 130cm, this bath towel is the standard size for most adult needs. If you are layering your brand's textile offering, consider pairing this with smaller hand towels from the same Towel City range to ensure a consistent professional appearance across your facilities.
Caring for your product
Proper maintenance is essential to preserve the absorbency and softness of the ringspun cotton. We recommend a domestic wash at 40°C using a colour-sensitive detergent. This temperature effectively removes oils and dirt while protecting the integrity of the cotton fibres and any custom branding.
Do not use fabric conditioner. While it may seem counter-intuitive, conditioners actually coat the cotton fibres in a water-repellent layer, significantly reducing the towel's ability to absorb water. Similarly, avoid bleach, as it will weaken the fabric and cause permanent discolouration.
You may tumble dry this towel on a low setting to help fluff the fibres, though over-drying should be avoided to prevent the cotton from becoming brittle. If ironing is required, use a medium setting (two dots) to smooth the herringbone border. Dry cleaning is not recommended as the process can degrade the natural cotton yarns.
