Product Overview
The Towel City Babies’ hooded towel is a refined essential for infant care, blending superior comfort with practical functionality. Constructed from premium 100% cotton terry towelling, this garment is designed to provide immediate warmth and high-level moisture absorption. The integrated hood is an essential feature for temperature regulation after bathing, while the contrast binding on the pink and blue versions offers a polished, professional aesthetic. Ideal for the hospitality sector, childcare businesses, or as a high-quality gift, this towel represents a significant step up from standard infant towelling.
Key Features
- Superior Absorbency: The high-quality cotton terry fabric is engineered to draw moisture away from the skin rapidly, ensuring the infant remains dry and comfortable.
- Exceptional Softness: Designed specifically for delicate skin, the fabric provides a luxurious texture that maintains its soft handle even after multiple wash cycles.
- Refined Contrast Binding: Available on specific colourways, the binding provides a structural finish that enhances the product's durability and visual appeal.
- Integrated Hood: A functional design element that simplifies the drying process while helping to retain essential body heat post-bath.
Design & Performance
In terms of construction, the TC036 focuses on durability without compromising on the tactile experience. The heavyweight cotton terry towelling provides a substantial feel that signifies quality and provides better insulation than lighter alternatives. The 75cm by 75cm dimensions offer a generous wrap for infants, ensuring full coverage. Furthermore, the tagless design is a thoughtful technical inclusion, removing the risk of skin irritation from abrasive labels. This focus on performance ensures the towel can withstand the high-frequency laundering required in commercial environments.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
This hooded towel serves as an excellent canvas for both print and embroidery. For those seeking a professional appearance, embroidery is the recommended choice. Our high-density embroidery ensures that logos and names remain crisp and clear against the textured pile of the terry towelling, providing a permanent and sophisticated branding solution.
Alternatively, print customisation is ideal for larger, more vibrant designs that need to stand out. Our experienced in-house team at MyWorkwear, based in Telford, has been perfecting these processes since 1976. Whether you require a subtle monogram or a bold company logo, we have the technical expertise to ensure your branding is executed to the highest standard.
Use Cases
This product is perfectly suited for luxury hotels and spas looking to enhance their family-friendly amenities. It is also an ideal choice for nurseries and childcare providers who want to maintain a consistent, professional brand image. Additionally, given the high fabric quality, it serves as a premium promotional item or corporate gift for employees and clients.

Practical Advice
The towel is supplied in a versatile one-size (75 x 75cm), tailored specifically for infants. When selecting for a business, we suggest choosing the contrast binding options to align with your corporate colours. For the most effective use, ensure the hood is placed over the infant's head immediately after leaving the water to maximise heat retention.
Caring for your product
To ensure the longevity of the cotton terry towelling and any custom branding, we recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. This temperature is sufficient for deep cleaning while being gentle enough to protect the integrity of the natural cotton fibres. It is vital to wash similar colours together to prevent dye migration, which can affect the clarity of the fabric and any embroidery.
You must avoid the use of fabric conditioners, as these can coat the cotton fibres and significantly reduce the towel's natural absorbency. Instead, use a colour-sensitive detergent to maintain the vibrancy of the contrast binding and the towel’s base colour.
For drying, a low-heat tumble dry setting is recommended to help the cotton pile stay open and soft. Bleach should never be used, as it will weaken the fibres and cause irreversible discolouration. If ironing is necessary, use a two-dot setting, but avoid direct heat on any printed areas to prevent damage to the design. This product is not suitable for dry cleaning, which can strip the fabric of its natural softness.
