Product Overview

The Tee Jays Long sleeve fashion Sof tee represents a sophisticated take on the standard long-sleeved t-shirt, designed specifically for professionals who require a garment that balances a tailored appearance with industrial-grade durability. Constructed from 100% ringspun combed cotton, this medium-weight garment offers a smoother surface and a more refined silhouette than standard alternatives. The long-fibre cotton ensures a premium feel against the skin while maintaining the structural integrity required for daily wear in professional environments.

Key Features
  • Double Pre-shrunk Cotton: This process ensures the garment maintains its shape and size even after repeated laundering, preventing the common issue of shrinkage that plagues inferior workwear.
  • Enzyme-washed and Silicone-treated: These finishing processes provide an exceptionally soft hand-feel and a smooth surface, which is ideal for both comfort and high-quality branding application.
  • Two-layer Collar with Elastane: The inclusion of elastane in the collar allows it to retain its shape throughout the day, preventing the 'sagging' effect often seen in standard t-shirts.
  • Shoulder-to-shoulder Neck Tape: This internal reinforcement provides additional stability to the garment's most stressed seams, ensuring longevity even with active use.
  • Elastane Cuffs: The ribbed cuffs are designed to stay in place when pushed up the forearm, providing a versatile fit for various tasks.

Design & Performance

The design of the TJ078 focuses on a 'fashion fit', meaning it offers a more contoured shape to the body compared to traditional boxy t-shirts. This makes it an excellent choice for client-facing roles where a smart-casual appearance is necessary. The use of long-fibre ringspun cotton is a technical choice; it results in fewer 'flyaway' fibres, which reduces pilling and creates a superior canvas for customisation. Furthermore, the double stitching on seams ensures that the garment can withstand the physical rigours of a busy workday without fraying.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This garment is an exceptional candidate for both print and embroidery, though the choice depends on your specific branding requirements. For a formal, authoritative appearance, we recommend embroidery. The substantial knit of the ringspun cotton supports high-stitch-count logos beautifully, making it perfect for chest-placed company emblems or staff names.

If your branding involves large, bold graphics or intricate details, our print services are highly effective on this smooth, silicone-treated surface. Our in-house team in Telford, with expertise dating back to 1976, will ensure that whichever method you choose, the finish is professional and durable. Please note that while the fabric can be washed at higher temperatures, print longevity is best maintained by following specific heat instructions.

Use Cases

The Tee Jays Long sleeve fashion Sof tee is ideally suited for corporate hospitality, high-end retail environments, and technical site visits where a standard t-shirt is too casual but a formal shirt is impractical. Its ability to be laundered at higher temperatures also makes it a viable option for sectors where hygiene and cleanliness are paramount.

Practical Advice

As this garment features a fitted body, we recommend reviewing the sizing guide carefully. If you prefer a more relaxed fit for manual tasks, you may wish to consider selecting one size larger than your usual measurement. The long sleeves make this an excellent base layer for colder months or a standalone piece during transitional seasons.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the performance and appearance of your garment requires adherence to the provided care instructions. This item is safe for a machine wash at 60°C, which is particularly useful for removing stubborn stains and ensuring high levels of hygiene. Failure to wash with similar colours may result in dye transfer, particularly with deeper shades.

To preserve the structural integrity of the long-fibre cotton, do not bleach this garment, as harsh chemicals will break down the natural fibres over time. Tumble drying is not recommended; allowing the garment to air dry naturally will prevent unnecessary heat stress and potential shrinkage.

When ironing, please take care to avoid any printed areas entirely. Direct heat on a print can cause the design to lift or distort. For embroidered items, iron on the reverse to keep the logo looking sharp and professional.
