Product Overview

The Tee Jays Crew Neck (6000) represents a sophisticated approach to corporate knitwear, bridging the gap between casual comfort and professional attire. Crafted from a premium Italian merino and polyacrylic blend, this jumper offers a refined aesthetic that is equally at home in a boardroom or a customer-facing retail environment. The tailored fit ensures a modern silhouette that sits comfortably over a dress shirt or a simple tee, making it an exceptionally versatile addition to any professional wardrobe.

Key Features
  • Fully Fashioned Construction: Unlike cheaper alternatives, this garment is knitted to shape, ensuring a superior fit and greater longevity as the seams are integrated into the knit.
  • Italian Merino Blend Yarn: The use of high-quality Italian yarn provides a soft, luxurious feel against the skin while offering the natural thermal properties of wool.
  • Tailored Fit: Designed to follow the contours of the body without being restrictive, providing a sharp, professional appearance.
  • Ribbed Hem and Cuffs: The knitted ribbing at the extremities ensures the garment retains its shape and prevents sagging after extended wear.
  • Wide Size Range: Available from Small to 3XL, ensuring your entire team can benefit from a uniform, cohesive look.

Design & Performance

The technical brilliance of this jumper lies in its 50/50 composition. By blending merino wool with polyacrylic, Tee Jays has created a fabric that harnesses the breathability and odour-resistance of natural wool while gaining the structural stability and crease-resistance of synthetic fibres. This fine-knit, medium-weight garment provides warmth without the bulk, allowing for easy layering under a blazer or jacket.

The "fully fashioned" process is a mark of quality in knitwear; it means the garment is shaped during the knitting process rather than being cut from a larger piece of fabric. This results in cleaner lines and a garment that feels more substantial and well-engineered. The choice of a 12-gauge knit provides a smooth surface that is ideal for showcasing your brand's identity.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

For a garment of this quality, we generally recommend embroidery. A well-executed embroidered logo on the chest or sleeve adds a textured, premium finish that complements the Italian yarn perfectly. It provides a permanent, high-end look that stands up well to the rigours of daily office life.

While embroidery is the traditional choice for knitwear, our Telford-based team can also accommodate specific print requirements for larger, bolder designs. Having been established in 1976, our in-house experts ensure that every stitch or print application is handled with the precision required to maintain the integrity of the knit.

Use Cases

This crew neck jumper is the ideal choice for corporate office environments, hospitality management, and sales professionals who require a smart-casual appearance. It is also an excellent option for staff uniforms in high-end retail or as a premium gift for corporate events and client-facing teams.

Practical Advice

Due to the tailored fit of this Tee Jays jumper, we recommend reviewing the size guide carefully. If your staff prefer a more relaxed or traditional fit, you may wish to consider sizing up. This garment layers exceptionally well; for a classic professional look, pair it with a contrast-coloured collared shirt, ensuring the collar stays neatly tucked under the crew neckline.

Caring for your product

To maintain the luxurious feel and structural integrity of the merino blend, it is vital to follow the care instructions precisely. Use a 40°C machine wash specifically on a wool programme. Using a standard cycle may cause the natural fibres to agitate too much, leading to unwanted pilling or shrinkage.

Always use a dedicated wool detergent to preserve the natural oils in the merino fibres. Do not soak the garment, as prolonged exposure to water can cause the yarn to lose its elasticity and shape. Bleaching must be avoided at all costs, as the harsh chemicals will degrade the delicate fibres and cause permanent discolouration.

Finally, do not tumble dry this jumper. The high heat and mechanical action will likely result in significant shrinkage. Instead, dry the garment flat. This prevents the weight of the water from stretching the knit out of shape while it dries, ensuring your custom-branded knitwear remains in peak condition for as long as possible.
