Product Overview

The Stanley/Stella Unisex Matcher vintage sweatshirt is a premium choice for businesses looking to combine a relaxed, artisanal aesthetic with a serious commitment to sustainability. This medium-weight crew neck sweatshirt is part of the Washed & Dyed collection, offering a lived-in look that feels established from the very first wear. Crafted from 100% organic cotton, it provides a high-quality canvas for your branding while ensuring comfort and longevity in a variety of work environments.

Key Features

  • Made from 100% organic ringspun combed cotton, which provides a superior softness against the skin and supports environmentally responsible farming practices.

  • The garment-dyeing process gives each individual sweatshirt a unique appearance, with intentional slight shading on the seams for a sophisticated vintage finish.

  • Reinforced with twin-needle topstitching on the armholes, sleeve hems, and bottom hem, providing extra durability in areas prone to wear and tear.

  • A 1x1 rib at the neck collar, sleeves, and bottom hem ensures the garment retains its shape and fit, even after repeated domestic washing.

Design & Performance

This sweatshirt is engineered with a medium fit that suits a wide range of body types, making it a versatile addition to any staff uniform. The use of organic ringspun cotton is not just a sustainable choice; the combing process removes shorter fibres, resulting in a smoother, stronger yarn that resists pilling. The internal single jersey back neck tape and self-fabric half-moon at the neck further enhance the garment's structural integrity and comfort.

In terms of performance, the medium-weight fabric offers the ideal balance of warmth and breathability. The set-in sleeves provide a classic silhouette that allows for a full range of arm movement, which is essential for active roles. The garment-dyed nature of the fabric means the colour will subtly evolve over time, gaining character without losing the quality of the material.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The Stanley/Stella Matcher is an excellent candidate for both print and embroidery, allowing you to tailor the look to your specific brand requirements. Embroidery is particularly recommended for those seeking a professional and permanent finish for company logos or staff names, as the dense organic cotton supports high-stitch-count designs without puckering.

For larger, more graphic designs, print provides a sharp and vibrant finish. The smooth surface of the ringspun cotton ensures excellent ink adhesion for a durable result. Our in-house team in Telford has been perfecting these customisation techniques since 1976, ensuring that your branding is applied with precision and care.

Use Cases

This sweatshirt is ideally suited for creative agencies, eco-conscious retail teams, and independent hospitality businesses. Its relaxed yet high-quality appearance makes it perfect for client-facing roles where a traditional corporate suit would feel too formal, but a professional standard is still required.

Why MyWorkwear

With a heritage dating back to 1976, MyWorkwear has the technical expertise to ensure your team looks its best. Based in Telford, we manage the entire customisation process in-house, combining decades of experience with a modern approach to workwear. We understand the importance of quality, durability, and brand representation, which is why we only recommend garments that meet our rigorous standards.

Practical Advice

This is a unisex medium-fit garment. For a more tailored appearance, we suggest sticking to your measured size, but if your team prefers a looser, more oversized fit, you may wish to consider sizing up. Because this is a garment-dyed product, we recommend ordering your full team's requirement at once to ensure the best possible colour consistency across the batch.

Caring for your product

To maintain the unique vintage look and the quality of the organic cotton, we recommend a domestic wash at 30°C. High temperatures can cause the garment-dyed colours to fade prematurely and may impact the longevity of the organic fibres.

Do not tumble dry this sweatshirt. The intense heat of a tumble dryer can cause shrinkage and may damage any applied print or embroidery, leading to cracking or peeling over time. Instead, allow the garment to air dry naturally.

Always wash and iron the garment inside out. This protects the outer surface and your custom branding from the mechanical action of the washing machine and direct heat from the iron. Avoid ironing directly onto any printed areas to prevent damage.

Use a mild detergent that does not contain bleach. Bleaching agents will strip the garment-dyed colour and weaken the fabric. As colour may transfer by rubbing when the garment is new, avoid contact with light-coloured materials and wash with similar colours.
