Product Overview

The Stanley/Stella Striker (STSU202) represents a sophisticated evolution of the classic hoodie, drawing clear inspiration from heritage American sportswear. This is not a lightweight garment; it is a substantial, heavyweight sweatshirt crafted from 100% organic combed ringspun cotton. Designed with a relaxed, unisex fit, it provides a premium canvas for businesses and brands that refuse to compromise on quality or environmental ethics.

By utilising high-grade organic fibres, the Striker offers a superior surface for customisation while maintaining a soft, comfortable feel against the skin. Its construction reflects a commitment to longevity, ensuring it remains a staple of your professional wardrobe for years rather than months.

Key Features
  • Raglan Sleeves: Unlike standard set-in sleeves, the raglan design extends to the collar, providing a greater range of motion and a more comfortable fit over various body shapes.
  • Double-Layered Hood: The hood is constructed from two layers of self-fabric, ensuring it maintains its shape and provides extra warmth when needed.
  • Heavyweight Fabric: The substantial weight of the organic cotton provides natural insulation and a structured, high-end appearance.
  • Reinforced Stitching: Three-needle flatlock stitches at the raglan and side panel seams offer exceptional durability, preventing seams from splitting under stress.
  • Premium Ribbing: 1x1 ribs at the cuffs, hem, and side panels ensure the garment retains its shape and fit after repeated wear.

Design & Performance

Performance in a professional setting is about more than just durability; it is about how a garment holds itself throughout the working day. The Striker features 1x1 rib side panels that allow for natural flexibility, meaning the hoodie moves with you rather than resisting your movements. The use of 100% organic combed ringspun cotton means the fabric is remarkably smooth, reducing pilling and ensuring a soft finish that feels substantial without being restrictive.

Attention to detail is evident in the inclusion of an inside herringbone back neck tape and a self-fabric half moon at the back neck. These features are typical of high-end retail apparel, designed to prevent the neckline from stretching out and to provide a clean, professional finish inside and out.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The Striker is an exceptional candidate for both print and embroidery, handled entirely by our expert in-house team in Telford. For those seeking a traditionally professional and long-lasting finish, embroidery is highly recommended for logos and staff names. The heavyweight nature of the fabric supports the density of embroidery stitches without puckering, resulting in a crisp, clear finish.

If your branding requires large, vibrant graphics or complex designs, our printing processes are equally effective. The smooth, combed surface of the organic cotton allows for excellent ink adhesion and detail retention. Since 1976, MyWorkwear has refined these techniques to ensure your branding remains as durable as the garment itself.

Use Cases

This hoodie is ideally suited for modern creative agencies, high-end retail staff, and any business looking to project a premium, conscious image. Its relaxed fit and heritage styling also make it a popular choice for team-building events or as part of a high-quality leisurewear collection for clubs and organisations that prioritise sustainability.

Practical Advice

The Striker features a relaxed fit, making it ideal for layering over t-shirts or base layers. If you prefer a more tailored appearance, you may wish to consult our sizing guide, which covers a broad range from XXS to 3XL. Given its substantial construction, it serves as an excellent outer layer in transitional weather or a heavy mid-layer in colder environments.

Caring for your product

To maintain the structural integrity and colour vibrancy of this heavyweight garment, we recommend a machine wash at 30°C. Washing at higher temperatures can stress the organic cotton fibres and potentially lead to unwanted shrinkage or damage to custom branding.

Bleaching agents should be avoided entirely. The chemicals in bleach can break down the natural cotton fibres and will almost certainly ruin any print or embroidery applied to the garment.

We strongly advise against tumble drying. The high heat and mechanical action of a dryer can distort the shape of the hoodie and cause the fabric to age prematurely. Instead, air dry the garment to keep it looking its best.

If ironing is required, please do so at a maximum temperature of 110°C. Care should be taken to iron on the reverse of any printed areas to avoid melting or smearing the design. Finally, this garment is not suitable for dry cleaning, as the solvents used can react poorly with both the organic fabric and the customisation materials.
