Product Overview
The Stella Ava (STTW963) from Stanley/Stella is a refined, fitted tank top designed specifically for a professional female silhouette. This medium-weight garment is crafted from 100% organic carded cotton, providing a soft yet substantial feel that avoids the transparency issues often found in lighter alternatives. As part of a sustainable workwear range, it balances environmental responsibility with the durability required for daily wear, whether used as a primary summer piece or a functional layering component.
Key Features
- 1x1 Rib Binding: The collar and armholes feature high-quality rib binding, which helps the garment maintain its shape and prevents stretching over time.
- Twin-needle Topstitching: The hem is reinforced with twin-needle stitching, ensuring the edge remains flat and resistant to fraying after repeated laundering.
- Pre-shrunk Fabric: The organic cotton is pre-shrunk during manufacturing, which means you won't be surprised by unexpected size changes after the first wash.
- Tear-out Label: A simple tear-out tag allows for easy rebranding or increased comfort for those with sensitive skin.
- Ethical Accreditations: With GOTS, Oeko-Tex, and Peta-Approved Vegan certifications, this tank top meets rigorous environmental and social standards.
Design & Performance
The Stella Ava is engineered with a focus on fit and longevity. The 100% organic carded cotton offers a slightly more textured, authentic feel compared to combed cotton, while remaining exceptionally breathable. Because the fabric is a medium-weight single Jersey, it provides full coverage, allowing it to be worn confidently without additional layers.
The overlock stitching at the back of the neck provides a clean finish and reduces friction against the skin. The form-fitting design ensures a sleek profile, making it particularly effective when worn under work shirts or light uniform jackets without adding unnecessary bulk.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
This garment is an excellent canvas for both print and embroidery. Given the stable nature of the medium-weight Jersey fabric, embroidery is highly recommended for a sophisticated, long-lasting professional appearance. This is ideal for company logos or staff names where a premium finish is required.
For larger, more vibrant promotional designs, our Telford-based team can apply high-quality prints. Our in-house experts, established in 1976, ensure that whether you choose the texture of embroidery or the clarity of print, your branding will be applied with precision and care.
Use Cases
The Stella Ava is a versatile choice for a range of sectors. It is particularly well-suited for hospitality staff during summer months, wellness and beauty uniforms, or as a sustainable base layer for corporate teams. Its ethical credentials also make it a preferred choice for charities and eco-conscious organisations looking to align their uniform with their values.

Practical Advice
This tank top is a fitted style. If you or your team prefer a slightly more relaxed fit, we suggest considering one size larger than your usual measurement. Refer to our size guide, which covers XS (UK 8) through to 2XL (UK 18), to ensure the most comfortable fit for your staff.
Caring for your product
To maintain the structural integrity and the vibrant finish of your custom branding, we recommend a domestic machine wash at 30°C. Washing at higher temperatures can stress the organic fibres and lead to premature wear.
Avoid the use of bleach, as this will degrade the cotton fibres and cause discolouration of both the fabric and your embroidered or printed logo. This garment should not be dry cleaned or tumble dried; instead, allow it to air dry naturally to prevent shrinkage and maintain the fitted shape.
When ironing, use a low temperature and always iron the garment inside out. It is critical that you never iron directly over a printed design, as the heat will damage the print and potentially ruin the garment. Washing similar colours together will also help prevent colour bleed and keep the tank top looking professional for longer.
