Product Overview

The SOL'S Unisex Collins Organic Contrast Hoodie is a meticulously engineered garment that bridges the gap between sustainable manufacturing and professional uniform standards. Constructed from a blend of organic combed cotton and recycled polyester, this medium-weight hoodie provides a substantial, high-quality feel suitable for year-round wear. The unisex design ensures a consistent appearance across a diverse workforce, while the contrast design elements offer a modern aesthetic that helps your brand stand out. By choosing organic or in-conversion cotton, businesses can demonstrate a commitment to environmental responsibility without compromising on the durability or comfort required for a demanding workday.

Key Features
  • The use of organic combed cotton provides an exceptionally smooth surface, which is essential for achieving high-definition results during the customisation process.
  • A brushed back fleece interior offers superior thermal insulation, trapping warmth against the body during outdoor tasks or in cooler environments.
  • The drop shoulder design facilitates a greater range of movement in the upper body, reducing restriction when performing physical work.
  • The lined hood, complete with a chunky drawcord, provides adjustable protection from the elements while maintaining the garment's structural shape.
  • 1x1 ribbed cuffs and hem are designed to provide a secure fit, preventing heat loss and ensuring the sleeves stay in place during active use.
  • A practical front pouch pocket offers convenient storage for essential tools or personal items, keeping them easily accessible throughout the day.

Design & Performance

Performance in the workplace relies on garments that can withstand repetitive use while maintaining a professional appearance. The Collins hoodie achieves this through its specific material composition of 80% organic combed cotton and 20% recycled polyester. Combing the cotton removes shorter, weaker fibres, resulting in a stronger yarn that is less prone to pilling and fraying. This ensures that the hoodie retains its premium look even after many weeks of intensive wear.

The addition of recycled polyester enhances the garment's dimensional stability, helping it to retain its shape and resist shrinking. Technical details such as the taped neck and locker patch reinforce the high-stress areas of the garment, preventing the neckline from stretching out of shape. Furthermore, the unbranded size label at the neckline makes this an ideal choice for businesses looking for a clean, professional finish for their staff uniforms.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This hoodie is specifically selected for its versatility in customisation. For companies seeking a traditional, high-end look, embroidery is the recommended choice. The dense weave of the combed cotton supports intricate stitching, making it perfect for company logos or staff names on the chest or sleeve. This method provides a durable, tactile finish that withstands regular industrial or domestic laundering.

For more expansive branding or bold promotional designs, our professional printing services offer a crisp and vibrant alternative. The smooth exterior of the organic fabric allows for excellent ink adhesion, ensuring your designs remain clear and impactful. All customisation is performed by our expert in-house team in Telford, drawing on a heritage of textile expertise that began in 1976.

Use Cases

The SOL'S Collins hoodie is an ideal choice for a wide variety of sectors. It is particularly well-suited for creative agencies, delivery and logistics teams, and light trade professionals who require a comfortable yet presentable upper layer. Additionally, its sustainable credentials make it a preferred option for environmentally-conscious organisations and charity sectors looking to align their physical appearance with their corporate values.

Why MyWorkwear

Established in 1976, MyWorkwear has spent nearly half a century perfecting the art of professional clothing. Based in Telford, our team combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology to deliver workwear that performs. When you choose us, you are not just buying a hoodie; you are partnering with a company that understands the technical nuances of fabric, fit, and finish, ensuring your team always looks its best.

Practical Advice

This hoodie features a standard weight that makes it an excellent layering piece. For those working in fluctuating temperatures, we suggest pairing it with a lightweight moisture-wicking base layer. Due to the unisex sizing and drop shoulder design, we recommend checking the size specifications to ensure a comfortable fit for all staff members, as the cut is designed to be slightly more relaxed than a traditional slim-fit sweatshirt.

Caring for your product

To ensure the longevity of your garment and the custom branding applied to it, maintaining a consistent care routine is vital. Proper washing helps preserve the organic cotton fibres and prevents the accumulation of residues that can dull the fabric's appearance over time. Always refer to the internal care label for specific instructions, as neglecting these can lead to premature wear or loss of garment shape.

When laundering, avoid the use of harsh bleaching agents, as these can break down the organic fibres and cause discolouration, particularly on contrast-coloured garments. Air drying is highly recommended over tumble drying to protect the integrity of the recycled polyester and to ensure any custom print or embroidery does not suffer from heat-related distortion or puckering. If ironing is required, avoid direct contact with any branded areas to maintain the professional finish of your logo.
