Product Overview

The Russell Europe Women's authentic zipped hooded sweatshirt is a sophisticated reimagining of a classic workwear staple. Engineered with a contemporary feminine fit, this garment moves away from the bulky, boxy shapes of traditional leisurewear to provide a silhouette that is both professional and flattering. At the heart of its design is a luxurious three-layer fabric construction, which combines a smooth outer surface with a soft, insulating interior, ensuring high performance and exceptional wearer comfort throughout the working day.

Key Features
  • Kissing Zip Design: The YKK metal antique silver zip is expertly covered by the fabric, allowing for seamless decoration across the front of the garment without the usual interruption of a visible fastener.
  • High-Quality Hardware: The use of a robust YKK metal zip and flat, chunky drawcords with buttonhole eyelets ensures the sweatshirt withstands the rigours of frequent use while maintaining a premium aesthetic.
  • Structural Reinforcement: Coverseamed armholes, cuffs, and hem provide additional strength at high-stress points, preventing the seams from fraying or failing over time.
  • Enhanced Comfort: A double-layer hood and herringbone neck tape provide a clean finish against the skin and additional protection against the elements.
  • Modern Connectivity: Integrated MP3 earphone access allows for discreet cable management, a practical addition for those who require hands-free communication or audio.

Design & Performance

Constructed from a premium blend of 80% combed ringspun cotton and 20% polyester, this medium-weight sweatshirt is designed for longevity. The three-layer fabric technology creates a stable surface that is remarkably soft to the touch yet resilient enough for demanding environments. The leaner arms and front-facing shoulder seams are not merely stylistic choices; they are functional design elements that improve the range of motion and ensure the garment sits correctly on the shoulders, even when layered over other workwear.

The fabric surface is specifically engineered for high-quality finishing. The combed ringspun cotton provides a smooth, low-lint canvas that ensures any applied branding remains sharp and well-defined, rather than being lost in the texture of the knit.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This sweatshirt is an ideal candidate for both print and embroidery, though its specific design features offer unique advantages for customisation. The 'kissing' zip is a particular triumph for businesses wanting large, bold printed designs across the chest, as it provides a flat, continuous surface that many zipped hoodies lack.

For a more formal and permanent corporate identity, embroidery is highly recommended. The density of the three-layer fabric provides a secure foundation for detailed logos, ensuring the embroidery does not pucker or pull the material. Our specialist team in Telford, who have been perfecting these techniques since 1976, will ensure your branding is executed with precision and care.

Use Cases

Given its refined fit and premium finish, this hooded sweatshirt is perfectly suited for customer-facing roles, event staff, and corporate uniforms where a casual yet professional appearance is required. It is equally effective as a high-quality promotional item or as part of a coordinated team kit for clubs and societies.

Practical Advice

This garment features a contemporary, feminine fit which is more tailored than a standard unisex hoodie. If you prefer a more relaxed or oversized feel for layering over heavier shirts, you may wish to consider moving up one size. The sizing range from XS to 2XL ensures a broad spectrum of the workforce can be accommodated comfortably.

Caring for your product

To maintain the structural integrity and professional appearance of your garment, we recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. Washing at this temperature effectively removes everyday dirt while preserving the vibrant colour of the cotton and polyester blend. Avoiding excessively high temperatures prevents the breakdown of the fibres and helps maintain the garment's shape.

For drying, a low-temperature tumble dry is suitable. Using a high heat setting can lead to unnecessary shrinkage and may damage the adhesive bond of printed designs or the tension of embroidered threads. By following these simple steps, you ensure that your custom-branded workwear remains a credit to your business for as long as possible.
