Product Overview

The Ribbon RI011 Luxury Classic Hot Water Bottle is a well-engineered accessory designed to provide consistent heat therapy and comfort during colder months. Combining a traditional natural rubber bottle with a high-quality faux fur cover, this product offers a superior tactile experience compared to standard alternatives. It is a substantial, medium-weight item that balances heat retention with safety, fully conforming to British Standard BS1970:2012. Whether used for easing muscle aches or as a thoughtful corporate gift, the RI011 represents a professional standard in homeware and wellness accessories.

Key Features
  • Two-Litre Capacity: The generous volume ensures a significant heat reservoir, providing warmth for extended periods without the need for frequent refilling.
  • Natural Rubber Construction: The bottle is manufactured from natural rubber, which offers excellent flexibility and superior heat conduction compared to synthetic materials.
  • Luxurious Faux Fur Cover: The 100% polyester cover acts as an effective thermal barrier, protecting the skin from direct heat while maintaining a plush, professional appearance.
  • BS1970:2012 Compliance: Rigorous testing ensures the bottle is safe for domestic use, providing peace of mind regarding structural integrity and leak prevention.

Design & Performance

The design of the RI011 focuses on the intersection of safety and comfort. The natural rubber bottle is engineered to be resilient, ensuring it can withstand the rigours of repeated heating and cooling cycles without the material becoming brittle. The faux fur cover is not merely an aesthetic addition; the dense polyester fibres create a layer of insulation that releases heat gradually, preventing the 'spike' in temperature often associated with uncovered bottles.

Despite its soft exterior, the product is built for durability. The secure screw-top closure and reinforced neck area are designed to prevent leakage, a critical factor for any water-filled heating vessel. The substantial feel of the faux fur indicates a high-density fabric that maintains its shape and texture even with regular use.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

While often seen as a retail item, the RI011 offers excellent customisation potential for businesses looking to provide a more personal touch. Embroidery is highly recommended for the faux fur cover; our expert team in Telford can apply logos or names with a high stitch count to ensure the branding sits prominently within the pile of the fabric for a truly professional finish.

Alternatively, certain print techniques can be applied for bolder, more graphic designs. Our in-house production team, established in 1976, has decades of experience in selecting the correct application method for specific fabric textures, ensuring your branding remains clear and durable. Customising these items makes them an ideal choice for high-end promotional gifts or staff wellness initiatives.

Use Cases

This product is perfectly suited for the hospitality industry, particularly for luxury boutique hotels or glamping sites looking to provide guests with an extra layer of comfort. It also serves as an excellent gift for employees during the winter season, demonstrating a commitment to staff welfare. Additionally, its therapeutic properties make it a practical item for those in the physiotherapy or wellness sectors.

Practical Advice

To ensure the longevity of the natural rubber, always fill the bottle to no more than two-thirds capacity and expel excess air before sealing. Avoid using boiling water directly from the kettle, as this can degrade the rubber over time; allow the water to cool slightly for a few minutes before filling. This ensures the material remains supple and safe for years to come.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and safety of the RI011, we recommend a strict 'spot clean only' approach for the faux fur cover. Machine washing or submerging the cover can damage the synthetic fibres and potentially cause the fabric to mat or lose its insulating properties.

The internal rubber bottle should be stored empty in a cool, dark place with the stopper removed. Exposure to direct sunlight or chemical cleaners will cause the natural rubber to perish, leading to cracks or leaks. Always inspect the bottle for signs of wear or damage before each use to ensure continued safety.
