Product Overview

The Result R156A Pro-Coach Trousers are a highly-rated essential for professionals and sports teams who require reliable protection against the elements without sacrificing portability. Engineered to be both waterproof and windproof, these trousers are designed to be easily stowed in a kit bag or rucksack, making them a practical choice for unpredictable British weather. The combination of technical ripstop fabric and functional design ensures that you remain dry and mobile throughout your working day or training session.

Key Features
  • Fully Taped Waterproof Seams: These seams are chemically sealed to prevent water ingress through the stitching, ensuring you stay dry even in persistent rain.
  • Ripstop Polyester Fabric: The 210T ripstop construction provides a durable outer layer that resists tearing, extending the lifespan of the garment in active environments.
  • Lower Leg Zip Openings: Designed for efficiency, these zips allow the wearer to pull the trousers on or off over footwear, which is particularly useful when the weather changes suddenly.
  • Secure Zip Pockets: Featuring two side pockets and one back pocket, all with zip closures, providing safe storage for essential items like keys or mobile phones.
  • Reflective Piping: Integrated into the lower leg, these reflective materials enhance visibility in low-light conditions, providing an additional layer of safety.

Design & Performance

The technical integrity of these trousers lies in the 210T ripstop polyester outer fabric, treated with a PU coating to achieve a 2000mm waterproof rating. Unlike standard waterproofs, the ripstop weave uses a crosshatch pattern of stronger threads to stop small tears from spreading, making it a robust choice for outdoor use. Inside, a smooth nylon lining ensures the garment does not cling to your base layers, maintaining comfort during high-activity tasks.

The cut of the R156A is specifically tailored for an enhanced range of movement. Whether you are coaching from the sidelines or navigating a site, the elasticated waist and adjustable drawcord allow for a personalised fit that stays secure without restricting your stride. Despite its technical capabilities, the fabric remains a lightweight material, ensuring it doesn't feel cumbersome when worn or bulky when packed away.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

These coach trousers are designed with custom branding in mind, featuring a concealed access point to ensure embroidery or print applications look clean and professional. Embroidery is highly recommended for company logos or names, providing a sophisticated finish that withstands regular wear. For larger, bold graphics or team branding, our direct and transfer printing methods offer vibrant and durable results.

At MyWorkwear, our in-house team in Telford has been perfecting garment customisation since 1976. We handle every stage of the process to ensure your branding is applied with precision, maintaining the waterproof integrity of the garment wherever possible and ensuring your team looks the part.

Use Cases

These trousers are perfectly suited for sports coaches, event staff, and outdoor tradespeople who require a lightweight, packable waterproof layer. They are equally effective for maintenance teams who need to transition quickly between indoor and outdoor tasks, providing windproof protection and rain resistance in a professional silhouette.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, consider what you will be wearing beneath these trousers. As they are often used as an over-layer, the sizing ranges from S/M (30-34" waist) up to 2XL (38-42" waist) with a standard 32" leg length. If you are between sizes and plan to wear heavy work trousers underneath, you may find that opting for the larger size provides better comfort and mobility.

Caring for your product

To maintain the technical performance of the waterproof coating and taped seams, we recommend a domestic wash at 30°C. Using higher temperatures can degrade the PU coating over time, reducing the garment's ability to repel water effectively.

Avoid the use of bleach, as this will damage the polyester fibres and likely cause discolouration of any custom print or embroidery. Furthermore, do not iron this garment; the high heat can melt the synthetic fabric and damage the internal waterproof taping.

These trousers should not be dry cleaned or tumble dried. Natural air drying is the best method to preserve the structural integrity of the ripstop fabric and ensure that the reflective piping remains effective for as long as possible.
