Product Overview
The Result PolarTherm top is a robust and dependable fleece designed for professionals who require a reliable layer of warmth without sacrificing mobility. This medium-to-heavyweight garment is engineered for a casual yet functional fit, making it a versatile addition to any workwear wardrobe. Whether used as a primary outer layer during transitional seasons or as a substantial mid-layer in harsher conditions, its construction ensures you remain comfortable and protected from the elements.
Key Features
- Anti-pill finish: This treatment ensures the fabric remains smooth and free from bobbling, maintaining a professional appearance through extended use and frequent laundering.
- Fleece-lined side pockets: Two integrated pockets provide an extra layer of warmth for the hands and secure storage for essential tools or personal items.
- Adjustable shockcord hem: The inclusion of a shockcord allows the wearer to customise the fit at the waist, effectively sealing in body heat and blocking out cold draughts.
- Elasticated cuffs: These provide a secure fit around the wrists, ensuring sleeves stay in place during physical tasks while preventing heat loss.
Design & Performance
Performance is at the heart of this fleece's design. It is manufactured from specialised polyester fibres that are engineered to absorb a maximum of only one percent of their weight in moisture. This ensures that any dampness evaporates rapidly with air movement, keeping the wearer dry and comfortable even during active shifts. The unlined, stretchy fit allows for an unrestricted range of motion, which is essential for trade environments that require reaching, lifting, or bending. The front zip fastening is sturdy and reliable, allowing for quick ventilation when the workday heats up.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The Result PolarTherm top is an excellent canvas for branding, featuring an open access point designed specifically for ease of decoration. For those seeking a sophisticated and durable finish, we recommend embroidery. It is the gold standard for applying company logos and staff names, providing a premium, three-dimensional look that withstands the rigours of the workplace. If your branding requires large-scale graphics or vivid colour transitions, transfer printing is an ideal alternative. Both processes are handled in-house at our Telford facility, where our team has been perfecting workwear customisation since 1976.
Use Cases
This fleece is perfectly suited for a wide variety of sectors, including hospitality, maintenance, and outdoor site work. Its packable and lightweight nature makes it an essential companion for mobile workers or anyone heading to the coast or country. It provides the necessary warmth for early morning starts or late evening finishes across numerous trade disciplines.

Practical Advice
The PolarTherm top offers a generous size range from XS to 3XL to accommodate all team members. Because of its stretchy fit, it layers well over t-shirts or polo shirts. If you are between sizes and prefer a more tailored fit for wearing under a waterproof jacket, we recommend opting for your standard chest measurement; if you prefer a looser, more casual feel for outer wear, the existing cut is already quite accommodating.
Caring for your product
To preserve the thermal efficiency and the soft handle of the fleece, proper maintenance is vital. We recommend a domestic wash at 40°C for general cleaning, though this garment is robust enough to be safely washed at 60°C when dealing with heavier industrial soiling. Regular cleaning at the correct temperature ensures that the fabric's moisture-wicking properties remain effective.
Do not use bleach on this garment, as the harsh chemicals will degrade the polyester fibres and cause the colour to lose its vibrancy. When drying, use a low heat setting in the tumble dryer. High heat can damage the anti-pill finish and may affect the integrity of any applied customisation.
This fleece should not be ironed. The synthetic nature of the fabric makes it naturally resistant to creasing; applying a hot iron could melt the fibres or cause permanent damage to the surface of the fleece. For the best results, hang the garment to dry naturally after the wash cycle concludes.
