Product Overview

The Regatta Professional Thermogen Powercell 5000 is an advanced piece of technical outerwear designed to provide consistent warmth in the most challenging environments. Constructed with a waterproof Hydrafort 5000 peached polyester fabric, this jacket is engineered to keep the wearer dry and comfortable through heavy rain and harsh winds. Its primary distinction is the integrated rechargeable copper heating zone, which utilizes unique micro-wires to regulate body temperature, ensuring that cold weather never hinders productivity.

Key Features

  • Rechargeable Copper Heating Zone: Features three temperature settings and a safety cut-off, allowing for precise climate control tailored to the environment.
  • Waterproof Protection: The Hydrafort 5000 polyester fabric is enhanced with taped seams and a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish to provide a complete barrier against external moisture.
  • Thermo-guard Insulation: Strategic internal padding provides substantial warmth without unnecessary bulk, retaining heat even when the electric heating system is not in use.
  • Device Charging Capability: An internal mobile phone pocket allows you to charge your smartphone on the go, keeping you connected during long shifts in the field.
  • Functional Storage: Equipped with a zipped chest pocket and two zipped lower pockets, providing secure storage for essential tools and personal items.

Design & Performance

This medium-weight jacket is built for durability and ease of movement. The peached polyester fabric offers a soft-touch finish while maintaining high resistance to wear and tear. Performance is further enhanced by thoughtful details such as storm cuffs and a grown-on insulated hood, both designed to seal out drafts. For those working in low-light conditions, reflective details on the front and back ensure increased visibility and safety. The internal battery pocket is specifically designed to house the power bank (sold separately as RG004) securely and discreetly.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The Thermogen jacket is particularly well-suited for professional branding. It features a concealed zip in the lining specifically designed for embroidery access, allowing your logo to be applied cleanly without compromising the internal insulation or heating wires. Embroidery is the recommended choice for a sophisticated, durable finish that represents your company with authority. For larger, high-impact branding across the back, our high-quality printing services are an excellent alternative. All customisation is handled in-house at our Telford facility, where we have been perfecting workwear branding since 1976.

Use Cases

This jacket is an essential choice for site managers, outdoor technicians, and security personnel who spend extended periods in sub-zero or inclement conditions. It is equally effective for cold-storage workers or logistics professionals who transition frequently between temperature-controlled environments and the outdoors.

Why MyWorkwear

Since 1976, MyWorkwear has been a leader in technical workwear solutions. Based in Telford, our team combines decades of expertise with modern technology to ensure your garments are not only fit for purpose but are branded to the highest possible standards. We understand the technical requirements of specialist garments like the Thermogen jacket and ensure every logo is applied with precision.

Practical Advice

The jacket is available in sizes S to 3XL, designed with a fit that allows for layering over a fleece or sweatshirt. To ensure the heating system performs optimally, we recommend pairing this jacket with the Regatta RG004 power bank. Utilize the shock cord adjusters at the face and hem to create a tighter seal against the wind, which helps to trap warm air generated by the copper heating zones.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high-performance waterproof coating and protect the internal heating elements, we recommend a cool machine wash using Regatta Isotex cleaner or a pure soap. Conventional detergents can strip the DWR finish, reducing the jacket's ability to shed water effectively.

Do not use bleach, as this will degrade the polyester fibers and damage the internal micro-wires. This jacket must not be tumble dried, ironed, or dry cleaned; the heat and chemicals associated with these processes will compromise the technical integrity of the heating system and the waterproof membrane. Instead, allow the garment to drip dry naturally away from direct heat sources.
