Product Overview

The Regatta Professional Pro crew neck sweatshirt (RG614) is a meticulously engineered garment designed to provide a professional appearance while maintaining high standards of comfort and sustainability. Constructed from a deliberate blend of 35% sustainable cotton and 65% polyester, this sweatshirt offers a soft-to-the-touch feel with the durability required for daily professional use. The brushed back fabric provides an extra layer of warmth, making it an essential component of a layered workwear uniform. With its subtle colour blocking on the cuffs and hem, it provides a modern aesthetic that remains sophisticated enough for customer-facing environments.

Key Features
  • Sustainable Cotton and Polyester Blend: Combining 35% sustainable cotton with 65% polyester creates a fabric that is both environmentally conscious and resistant to the rigours of a busy workplace.
  • Brushed Back Interior: The interior finish provides a soft, fleecy texture against the skin, offering superior comfort and thermal retention throughout the day.
  • Ribbed Cuffs and Hem: These reinforced sections ensure the garment retains its shape after repeated wear and washing, preventing the sagging often associated with inferior sweatshirts.
  • Tear-out Label: This feature allows for easy rebranding or simply prevents irritation at the neck, enhancing the overall comfort for the wearer.
  • Expansive Size Range: Available from XS to 4XL, this sweatshirt ensures every member of your team can be accommodated with a consistent, professional look.

Design & Performance

In terms of performance, the RG614 strikes a balance between being a lightweight fabric and a durable work layer. The 65% polyester content ensures the sweatshirt is hard-wearing and dries relatively quickly, while the 35% sustainable cotton provides the breathability and natural feel essential for comfort during physical tasks. The crew neck design is classic and unobtrusive, allowing it to be worn comfortably over a polo shirt or under a heavier work jacket. The brushed back finish is particularly noteworthy, as it traps air to provide insulation without the bulk of a much heavier garment.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The fabric composition of this sweatshirt makes it an excellent candidate for both print and embroidery. For those seeking a superior, professional finish, embroidery is highly recommended. The stable weave of the polyester-cotton blend allows for high-density stitching, ensuring company logos and staff names remain crisp and clear over time.

Alternatively, the smooth surface of the fabric is well-suited to various printing techniques. This is particularly useful for businesses requiring large, bold designs on the back of the garment for high visibility. Our expert team in Telford, drawing on decades of experience since 1976, handles all customisation in-house to ensure that your branding is applied with precision and care.

Use Cases

This sweatshirt is a versatile addition to any professional wardrobe. It is particularly well-suited for warehouse staff, delivery drivers, and tradespeople who require a flexible layer that doesn't restrict movement. Due to its clean lines and sustainable credentials, it is also an ideal choice for corporate events or as part of a modern office uniform for companies looking to project a conscious, professional image.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, please note that the sizing range is generous, spanning from a 36-inch chest in the XS up to a 53-inch chest in the 4XL. For those working in colder environments, we recommend sizing up slightly to allow for a base layer or polo shirt underneath. The crew neck design sits flat, making it perfect for layering under high-visibility waistcoats or waterproof jackets without adding unnecessary bulk around the neck.

Caring for your product

To ensure the longevity of your sweatshirt and the integrity of your custom branding, we recommend a cool wash. Excessive heat during the washing cycle can damage the synthetic fibres and lead to premature fading of the sustainable cotton, potentially affecting the vibrancy of your logo.

Do not use bleach on this garment. Bleaching agents are too harsh for the polyester-cotton blend and will likely cause irreversible discolouration and weaken the fabric structure.

We advise that you do not tumble dry this sweatshirt. The high heat of a tumble dryer can cause shrinkage and may distort the shape of the ribbed cuffs and hem. Instead, allow the garment to air dry naturally. Furthermore, do not iron this product, as direct heat from an iron can damage the brushed finish and any applied print or embroidery. Finally, do not dry clean this item, as the chemicals used in the process are unnecessary and may degrade the fabric's performance over time.
