Product Overview

The Regatta Professional Darby III jacket is a high-performance outerwear solution engineered to withstand the rigours of the British climate. Constructed from waterproof Hydrafort 5000 peached polyester, this jacket provides a sophisticated finish without compromising on technical capability. The inclusion of Thermo-guard insulation and fully taped seams ensures that the wearer remains warm and dry during extended periods of outdoor activity. With a shaped fit that maintains a professional silhouette, it serves as an essential component of a modern corporate or trade uniform.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This jacket is specifically designed to facilitate professional branding, featuring a concealed zip entrance in the lining for easy embroidery access. For those seeking a traditional and durable finish, embroidery is highly recommended for company logos and individual names, providing a texture and depth that reflects a high standard of professionalism. Alternatively, our precision printing services are ideal for larger, high-visibility branding requirements. Since 1976, our specialist team in Telford has been managing the customisation process in-house, ensuring that every garment meets our exacting standards for quality and detail.

Key Features
  • The waterproof Hydrafort 5000 fabric acts as a reliable barrier against rain, ensuring the wearer stays dry in adverse weather.
  • Taped seams provide reinforced protection at the garment's most vulnerable points, preventing water ingress through the stitching.
  • Thermo-guard insulation effectively traps air to maintain body heat, providing essential warmth in cold environments.
  • A concealed hood with adjusters offers versatile protection that can be deployed during downpours or neatly tucked away when not required.
  • Multiple functional pockets, including zipped hand warmers and cargo pockets, provide secure and accessible storage for essential equipment and personal items.
  • Adjustable cuffs allow for a secure fit around the wrists, helping to seal in warmth and prevent draughts.

Design & Performance

The Darby III is crafted from a medium-weight 100% peached polyester fabric, which offers a soft, brushed feel while remaining exceptionally durable. The material is inherently windproof, providing a shield against biting winds that can often penetrate standard jackets. The internal wadding provides substantial insulation weight, ensuring the garment remains effective in low temperatures without being overly restrictive. The shaped fit is designed to look professional in customer-facing roles while allowing enough room for comfortable movement on site.

Use Cases

This jacket is an excellent choice for site supervisors, surveyors, and delivery professionals who require a blend of weather protection and a smart appearance. Its robust construction and thermal properties make it particularly suitable for facilities management, outdoor events, and the construction sector during the winter months.

Why MyWorkwear

With a heritage dating back to 1976, MyWorkwear has established itself as a leader in technical workwear and customisation. From our facility in Telford, we leverage decades of expertise to provide businesses across the UK with garments that are built to last. Our in-house production team ensures that your branding is applied with technical precision, maintaining the integrity of the garment while enhancing your professional image.

Practical Advice

The Darby III features a shaped fit for a modern silhouette. If you intend to wear this jacket over several heavy layers, such as a thick fleece or sweatshirt, you may wish to consider this when selecting your size to ensure maximum comfort and range of motion. The adjustable elements, such as the cuffs and hood, should be utilised to create a weather-tight seal in harsh conditions.

Caring for your product

To ensure the longevity of the waterproof finish and the integrity of your custom branding, it is vital to follow the care instructions provided. Failure to do so can result in the breakdown of technical coatings and the degradation of the insulation.

The jacket is machine washable. We recommend washing dark colours separately to ensure the fabric remains vibrant and to prevent colour bleed onto any light-coloured embroidery or print designs.

Do not use bleach, as these chemicals will damage the polyester fibres and strip the waterproof properties. Dry cleaning is also to be avoided, as the processes involved can compromise the garment's technical structure.

Do not tumble dry or iron this jacket. High heat can melt the peached polyester fabric, damage the internal insulation wadding, and cause printed logos to peel or distort. For best results, allow the garment to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources.
