Product Overview

The Regatta High Visibility Hi-Vis X-Pro 3-layer softshell jacket is a serious piece of equipment designed for those who value both safety and comfort. This is not a flimsy outer layer; it is a substantial, heavyweight garment engineered to meet Class 2 safety standards. By combining professional-grade visibility with the technical advantages of a 3-layer softshell, Regatta has created a jacket that keeps you seen and protected without the bulk of a traditional heavy coat. Whether you are navigating a busy site or managing logistics, this jacket provides the professional appearance and functional performance required for demanding roles.

Key Features
  • Class 2 High-Visibility: Integrated reflective strips ensure you remain visible to colleagues and vehicle operators, which is a fundamental requirement for site safety.
  • 3-Layer Softshell Construction: This multi-layered approach provides a sophisticated barrier against the elements while remaining breathable, ensuring you don't overheat during physical activity.
  • Substantial Heavyweight Fabric: The polyester blend fabric is robust and durable, meaning it won't easily snag or wear thin after a few weeks on the job.
  • Practical Colour Options: Available in Black/Orange and Black/Yellow, allowing you to align with specific site requirements or company branding.
  • Inclusive Sizing: With a range from Small to 4XL, we ensure that every member of the team has access to a well-fitting, professional jacket.

Design & Performance

The performance of this jacket lies in its 3-layer fabric technology. The outer layer is a durable polyester blend that offers a clean, professional finish, while the internal layers work to manage moisture and provide a comfortable microclimate for the wearer. Because it is a heavyweight garment, it feels reassuringly sturdy when worn, yet the softshell nature of the material ensures you maintain a full range of movement—essential when you are active on the job.

One doesn't want to fade into the background when safety is a requirement, and the high-visibility elements are positioned to provide maximum effectiveness. The construction is focused on longevity; reinforced seams and a quality blend of materials mean this jacket is built to withstand the rigours of daily professional use rather than just looking the part for a few days.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This item is available with both print and embroidery customisation.

  • Embroidery delivers a textured, premium appearance — ideal for logos and names — and stands up to repeated washing without fading.
  • Print is better suited to large, bold designs and a broader colour range, making it a versatile choice for company branding.
  • Our in-house team, based in Telford and established in 1976, handles all customisation to ensure your workwear meets our exacting standards.

Use Cases

This jacket is specifically designed for professionals working in environments where visibility is paramount but a standard waistcoat isn't sufficient. It is an ideal choice for site managers, surveyors, transport workers, and delivery professionals who need a professional-looking garment that provides weather protection. If you find yourself on a site where being seen is optional, you are likely on the wrong site; for everyone else, this jacket is an essential part of the uniform.

Practical Advice

Given the substantial nature of this 3-layer softshell, it works excellently as a standalone outer layer in transitional weather. For colder months, we recommend sizing slightly up if you intend to wear a thick sweatshirt underneath. The jacket is available up to 4XL, ensuring a comfortable fit for all body types. Always ensure the jacket is zipped up to maintain the full effectiveness of the Class 2 visibility strips.

Caring for your product

To maintain the technical performance and high-visibility properties of this jacket, proper care is essential. Following the care instructions ensures the three-layer fabric remains effective and the reflective elements do not lose their integrity over time.

We recommend a domestic wash at the temperature indicated on the label. High heat should be avoided as it can damage the high-visibility tapes, which would compromise your safety by reducing the garment's reflectivity.

Do not use bleach or harsh chemical cleaners. These substances can strip the fluorescent dyes from the polyester blend, rendering the jacket non-compliant with safety standards and dulling your professional appearance.

Air drying is preferable to tumble drying. Excessive heat in a dryer can cause the 3-layer fabric to delaminate, which will ruin the jacket's weather-resistant properties and overall structure.

If you must iron the garment, use a low setting and avoid direct contact with the reflective strips. High heat from an iron will melt the visibility elements, causing permanent damage to the jacket and its safety rating.
