Product Overview

The Premier Women's stretch fit cotton poplin long sleeve blouse (PR344) is an expertly engineered garment designed for the modern professional. Combining the classic aesthetic of a poplin weave with the functional benefits of modern fabric technology, this blouse offers a streamlined, fitted silhouette that does not compromise on mobility. It is specifically designed for women who require a garment that remains sharp and comfortable throughout a demanding working day.

Key Features
  • The inclusion of elastane provides a soft-feel stretch fabric, ensuring the blouse moves with the wearer rather than restricting them.
  • Fitted styling offers a contemporary, professional appearance that maintains its shape better than traditional loose-cut shirts.
  • A soft cut-away collar with a top button allows for versatile styling; it can be worn with formal neckwear or open for a more approachable aesthetic.
  • Double-button cuffs and a single-button sleeve guard provide the option for a formal full-length sleeve or a practical roll-back for more manual tasks.
  • The grown-on placket creates a seamless, clean front finish that enhances the overall professional look of the garment.

Design & Performance

This blouse is constructed from a high-quality blend of 97% cotton and 3% elastane. This composition creates a lightweight fabric that is highly breathable, which is essential for busy environments like hospitality or front-of-house. The poplin weave provides a smooth, flat surface that feels excellent against the skin while remaining durable enough for regular wear. The 3% elastane content is crucial; it provides the necessary recovery to the fabric, preventing the 'bagging' often seen at the elbows of 100% cotton shirts.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The PR344 is an ideal candidate for customisation, accommodating both print and embroidery techniques. For a traditional and highly professional appearance, we recommend embroidery. The stable poplin weave supports intricate stitching, making it perfect for company logos or individual names on the chest or collar. This method provides a long-lasting, premium finish that withstands industrial cleaning processes.

For organisations looking for bold, high-impact branding, garment printing is an excellent alternative. Printing allows for larger, more colourful designs that can be applied to the back or chest. Since 1976, our Telford-based team has been perfecting these techniques, ensuring that every garment leaving our facility meets our rigorous standards for quality and brand accuracy.

Use Cases

This blouse is a versatile staple suitable for a variety of sectors. It is particularly effective in the hospitality industry, corporate offices, and for retail staff who need to present a unified, polished image. Its stretch properties also make it a sensible choice for staff who are frequently on the move, such as event coordinators or receptionists.

Why MyWorkwear

With a heritage dating back to 1976, MyWorkwear has the technical expertise to ensure your team looks professional. Operating from our specialized facility in Telford, we manage the entire customisation process in-house. This allows us to maintain complete control over the quality of the finish, ensuring that your workwear performs as hard as your employees do.

Practical Advice

The fitted nature of this blouse means it is designed to sit closer to the body than a standard shirt. When ordering for a team, we recommend consulting the size guide (ranging from XS to 3XL) to ensure the best fit. Due to its lightweight construction, this blouse is perfect for layering under branded knitwear or blazers during the colder months.

Caring for your product

To maintain the structural integrity and colour of your blouse, we recommend a machine wash at 40°C. This temperature is sufficient for cleaning while preventing premature degradation of the elastane fibres that provide the garment's stretch.

Dark colours must be washed separately. This prevents dye migration, which can ruin the appearance of other garments in the load and dull the vibrancy of the blouse over time. We also advise washing the garment inside out; this simple step protects the fabric's surface and ensures your custom embroidery or print remains in peak condition by shielding it from friction during the wash cycle.

Do not soak the garment, as this can weaken the cotton fibres and affect the dye's stability. Finally, avoid dry cleaning. The harsh chemical solvents used in dry cleaning can damage the elastane component and the adhesives used in some print processes, leading to a loss of fit and branding quality.
