Product Overview

The Ultra Safe Light Unvented Goggles provide a comprehensive barrier against a variety of industrial hazards. Unlike vented alternatives, these goggles are specifically designed to create a complete seal around the eyes, shielding the wearer from liquid droplets, large dust particles, and more critically, gas and fine dust. They are an essential item for those working in volatile environments where airborne contaminants pose a significant risk to ocular health.

Key Features

  • Unvented Design: Offers a superior level of protection by preventing the ingress of fine dust, gases, and liquid splashes, making them suitable for hazardous chemical environments.
  • KN Rated Lens Coating: These goggles are treated with high-standard anti-scratch and anti-fog coatings, ensuring that your vision remains clear even in humid conditions or during physically demanding tasks.
  • OTG Compatibility: Designed with a generous internal volume, these goggles can be worn comfortably over most prescription glasses, ensuring you do not have to compromise on vision correction for the sake of safety.
  • Impact Resistance: Built to withstand contact with molten metal and hot solids, providing peace of mind in high-heat industrial applications.

Design & Performance

Constructed with a robust Polycarbonate lens and a flexible PVC frame, these goggles balance durability with a comfortable fit. The Polycarbonate lens provides excellent impact resistance without being heavy, while the PVC frame conforms to the contours of the face to maintain that all-important seal. The lightweight nature of the materials ensures that even during extended shifts, the pressure on the face remains minimal. The elasticated strap is easily adjustable, ensuring the goggles stay securely in place regardless of movement.

Why No Customisation?

We do not offer customisation on this product because it is a piece of certified Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Any modification, such as printing on the lens or embroidering the strap, could compromise the structural integrity of the materials or interfere with the safety ratings. Our priority is ensuring that this equipment performs exactly as intended to keep you safe on the job.

Use Cases

These goggles are highly recommended for professionals involved in chemical handling, where liquid and gas protection is paramount. They are equally effective for carpenters, tree surgeons, and construction workers dealing with fine particulate matter. Mechanics and welders will also find the resistance to hot solids particularly beneficial during preparation and grinding tasks.

Practical Advice

When fitting your goggles, ensure the elastic strap is adjusted to provide a firm but comfortable seal against the skin. If you are wearing these over prescription spectacles, position the goggles over the glasses first before pulling the strap over your head to avoid misalignment. For those working in particularly humid environments, the anti-fog coating is most effective when the lens is kept clean and free from oily residues.

Caring for your product

Proper maintenance of your safety goggles is vital for maintaining clear vision and ensuring the longevity of the protective coatings. We recommend cleaning the lenses after every use to prevent the build-up of grit which can lead to premature wear.

To clean, use a gentle lens cleaning solution or mild soap and lukewarm water. Avoid using abrasive cloths or paper towels, as these can create micro-scratches that will eventually impair visibility. Instead, use a clean, soft microfibre cloth. Never use harsh chemical solvents or bleach, as these can degrade the PVC frame and strip away the anti-fog and anti-scratch treatments.

When not in use, store the goggles in a protective pouch or case. Leaving them loose in a toolbox or vehicle can lead to the lenses being scratched by other tools, which will compromise the effectiveness of the KN-rated coating.
