Product Overview

The HA33BKR Sherpa Lined Trapper Hat is a robust piece of headwear designed specifically for those who cannot let the British winter dictate their work schedule. Part of the All Weather Protection range, this hat prioritises thermal efficiency without sacrificing the durability required on a busy site. The exterior is crafted from a resilient polyester and cotton twill, providing a sturdy barrier against the elements, while the interior is fully lined with a plush sherpa knit for maximum comfort and warmth.

Key Features

  • Sherpa Lining: The interior features a heavyweight sherpa knit that offers superior heat retention, ensuring you remain focused on the task at hand rather than the dropping temperature.
  • Shaped Side Panels: These panels are specifically designed to cover the ears, shielding them from biting winds and reducing the risk of exposure-related discomfort.
  • Secure Neck Strap: The integrated strap ensures the hat remains firmly in place during high winds or physical activity, providing a reliable fit throughout the day.
  • Recycled Polyester Wadding: The internal insulation is composed of recycled materials, providing effective warmth while supporting more sustainable manufacturing practices.
  • Durable Twill Shell: The polyester-cotton blend shell is built to withstand the rigours of daily wear in demanding environments.

Design & Performance

Engineered for performance in cold climates, this trapper hat balances a tough exterior with a soft, insulating core. The shell fabric is a medium-weight twill that provides a professional appearance while being resistant to the typical scuffs and abrasions found in trade work. The performance is further enhanced by the sherpa lining, which creates a significant thermal pocket around the head and ears. Despite its substantial warmth, the hat remains practical for active use, with a secure fit that doesn't obstruct vision or movement.

Customisation: Embroidery Only

Due to the thick, textured nature of the sherpa lining and the structured twill shell, this item is suitable for embroidery only. Embroidery provides a high-quality, permanent finish that can withstand the frequent handling and cold-weather conditions this hat is designed for. Our in-house team in Telford, with expertise dating back to 1976, uses precision stitching to ensure your company logo is rendered with professional clarity, maintaining its integrity even after repeated use in the field.

Use Cases

This headwear is an essential addition for anyone working in outdoor environments during the autumn and winter months. It is particularly well-suited for site managers, agricultural workers, delivery drivers, and tradespeople who require consistent warmth while working in exposed locations. It is also an excellent choice for corporate branding for teams working in cold-storage facilities or outdoor events.

Practical Advice

The HA33BKR is designed for a secure fit, but we recommend ensuring the neck strap is adjusted comfortably to prevent wind ingress without restricting movement. It layers perfectly with our range of high-visibility jackets and thermal base layers for a complete cold-weather uniform solution.

Caring for your product

To ensure your trapper hat maintains its protective qualities and the embroidery remains crisp, proper care is essential. Regular maintenance prevents the buildup of grime that can degrade synthetic fibres over time.

We recommend a maximum wash temperature of 30°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures or using aggressive cycles can damage the internal wadding and cause the sherpa lining to lose its insulating loft. Do not use bleach, as this will weaken the twill fabric and cause the black pigment to fade prematurely.

This item should be line dried only and never tumble dried. High heat from a dryer can cause the synthetic fibres in the lining and shell to shrink or become brittle. Finally, do not iron this hat; the direct heat of an iron can melt the polyester components and flatten the sherpa texture, permanently reducing its effectiveness at trapping heat.
