The hat is constructed from Sealtex Classic fabric, which utilizes a 100% Polyester Tricot base with a PU coating. Practical Advice
For the most effective protection, we recommend adjusting the chin strap before heading into high-wind areas. This prevents the wind from getting under the brim and lifting the hat. It is designed to work seamlessly with high-collared waterproof jackets, where the neck cover can overlap the collar for a complete seal against the rain.
Caring for your product
To preserve the waterproof integrity and technical performance of the PU coating, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. High-temperature washes can cause the waterproof layer to delaminate from the polyester base, rendering the hat ineffective.
Bleaching agents must be avoided at all costs, as they will degrade the synthetic fibres and strip away the protective coating. For the same reason, this item is not suitable for dry cleaning, as the harsh chemical solvents will damage the structural integrity of the Sealtex fabric.
We strongly advise against tumble drying, as the intense heat will melt the PU coating. Instead, the hat should be drip line dried to ensure it retains its shape and performance. Finally, do not iron this product, as direct heat will destroy the waterproof membrane and any applied branding.
