Product Overview

The RWS Hi-Vis Stretch Work Trousers are a meticulously engineered solution for professionals who refuse to choose between safety compliance and physical comfort. Finished in a high-visibility orange, these trousers utilise a sophisticated RWS tape configuration alongside HiVisTex Pro segmented tape. This combination ensures that you remain visible in low-light environments while benefiting from a garment that adapts to your movements rather than restricting them.

Key Features
  • 4-Way Stretch Fabric: The Kingsmill Polyester Stretch material provides exceptional flexibility, allowing for a full range of motion during active tasks.
  • HiVisTex Pro Segmented Tape: Unlike solid reflective strips, this segmented design moves with the fabric and increases breathability without compromising safety standards.
  • RWS Tape Configuration: Specifically designed to provide increased visibility from various angles, meeting essential safety requirements for high-risk sites.
  • Certified Protection: Fully compliant with EN ISO 20471 Class 1, making them a reliable choice for professional use.

Design & Performance

The performance of these trousers is rooted in the quality of the Kingsmill Polyester Stretch fabric. Composed of 93% polyester and 7% elastane, this medium-weight material is robust enough to handle the daily grind while offering the tactile comfort of a performance garment. The 4-way stretch is particularly effective for tradespeople who spend their day bending, climbing, or kneeling, as it prevents the fabric from binding or pulling.

The inclusion of HiVisTex Pro segmented tape is a deliberate design choice to enhance wearer comfort. By breaking the reflective material into sections, the trousers maintain their elasticity across the limbs, ensuring that the safety features do not hinder the ergonomic benefits of the stretch fabric.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

To ensure your team presents a unified and professional appearance, these trousers are suitable for both print and embroidery. Embroidery is a superior choice for adding company logos or individual names, providing a durable and high-quality finish that stands up to the rigours of industrial environments. For those requiring larger, high-impact branding, our printing services deliver sharp, vibrant results.

All customisation is performed by our expert in-house team at our Telford facility. With a heritage dating back to 1976, MyWorkwear applies decades of technical knowledge to ensure your branding is applied with precision, maintaining the integrity of the high-visibility materials.

Use Cases

These trousers are ideal for workers in sectors such as road maintenance, rail, construction, and logistics. They are specifically designed for roles that require EN ISO 20471 Class 1 visibility but also demand a high level of physical agility. Whether you are navigating a busy warehouse or working on a transport infrastructure project, these trousers provide the necessary protection and mobility.

Practical Advice

The 4-way stretch fabric offers a more versatile fit than traditional static materials. We recommend selecting your standard size for an optimal ergonomic fit. If you frequently wear thermal base layers underneath your workwear during colder months, the elastane content in these trousers ensures they will comfortably accommodate the extra layer without feeling restrictive.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the reflective properties and fabric integrity is essential for the longevity of this safety garment. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C. Washing at higher temperatures can damage the elastane fibres, leading to a loss of the garment's stretch and shape over time.

Do not use bleach when cleaning these trousers. Harsh bleaching agents will degrade the fluorescent orange dye and can damage the heat-applied reflective tape, which would ultimately compromise your safety on site.

These trousers should be line dried only and must not be tumble dried. The intense heat of a tumble dryer can cause the synthetic materials and the adhesive on the segmented tape to fail prematurely.

If ironing is necessary, use a cool setting with a maximum temperature of 110°C. Avoid direct contact with the reflective tape to prevent melting. Do not dry clean. Finally, please be aware that this garment has a maximum limit of 25 washes to ensure it remains compliant with high-visibility safety standards.
