The PW321 Hi-Vis Zipped Winter Hoodie is a sophisticated solution for professionals who require high-level visibility without sacrificing warmth during the colder months. Designed with a contemporary aesthetic, this garment merges functionality with a modern fit, ensuring you remain visible and protected while maintaining a professional appearance on-site. The distinctive design features Portwest Hi-Vis Tex Pro reflective tape and contrast panels, providing a high-visibility solution that is as durable as it is practical.
Key Features
- Portwest Hi-Vis Tex Pro reflective tape offers superior visibility in low-light conditions, ensuring you remain safe and seen by colleagues and plant operators.
- Two ample side zipped pockets provide secure storage for essential tools or personal items, preventing loss during active movement.
- The soft-to-the-touch fabric ensures all-day comfort, reducing the risk of irritation during long shifts.
- A roomy fit has been engineered to allow for ease of movement, ensuring the garment does not restrict your range of motion while working.
Design & Performance
Constructed from a robust blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, the outer shell is designed to withstand the rigours of a demanding work environment. This fabric choice provides the perfect balance of durability and breathability, ensuring the garment lasts through multiple seasons. The interior is lined with a thick, 100% polyester borg fleece, which is specifically chosen for its exceptional heat retention properties. This heavy-weight lining traps air to keep you warm in sub-zero conditions, while the zipped front allows for quick ventilation should the temperature rise.
Customisation: Embroidery Only
This winter hoodie is offered exclusively with embroidery for custom branding. Due to the thick, textured nature of the borg fleece lining and the substantial weight of the outer fabric, embroidery provides the most durable and professional finish. Our in-house embroidery team, based in Telford and established in 1976, uses high-quality threads that penetrate the fabric deeply, ensuring your logo remains sharp and secure even after repeated laundering. Printing is unsuitable for this garment as the heat and pressure required could damage the fleece's loft and the reflective tape's integrity.
Use Cases
This hoodie is an ideal choice for site managers, surveyors, and tradespeople working in construction, logistics, or outdoor maintenance. It is particularly effective for those who transition between indoor and outdoor environments, where a heavy coat might be too cumbersome but a standard sweatshirt is insufficient against the cold.

Practical Advice
The PW321 is designed with a roomy fit, making it perfect for layering over thermal base layers or standard work shirts. We recommend ordering your usual size, as the generous cut accounts for additional clothing worn underneath. If you are between sizes, the zipped front provides enough flexibility to accommodate a thicker mid-layer if required.
Caring for your product
Maintaining the technical performance of your hi-vis hoodie is essential for your safety. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum of 40°C using a normal process. This temperature is sufficient to remove site grime without degrading the polyester and cotton fibres or the reflective properties of the tape.
Do not use bleach, as this will aggressively break down the fabric's structure and destroy the reflective coating. The garment should be line dried rather than tumble dried; heat from a dryer can cause the borg fleece to mat and the reflective tape to peel or crack.
Do not iron this garment, as direct heat will melt the synthetic fibres and the heat-applied reflective tape. Finally, do not dry clean, as the chemicals used in the process are too harsh for the high-visibility components. Please note this garment is rated for a maximum of 50 washes to ensure the reflective tape continues to meet safety standards.
