Product Overview

The PW3 Hi-Vis V-Neck Mesh Insert T-Shirt is a sophisticated piece of workwear designed specifically for professionals working in demanding, high-temperature environments. Part of the innovative PW3 range, this garment utilises a Cotton Comfort fabric blend that ensures the wearer remains cool and dry without sacrificing the visibility required for safety compliance. The modern V-neck design and tailored fit provide a contemporary appearance that moves away from the boxy silhouette often associated with standard safety wear.

Key Features
  • HiVisTex Pro Segmented Tape: Unlike traditional solid reflective bands, this heat-applied segmented tape allows for greater garment stretch and flexibility, ensuring your movement is never restricted during physical tasks.
  • Underarm Mesh Inserts: The strategic placement of 100% polyester mesh panels facilitates maximum airflow to high-heat areas, significantly improving moisture management and thermal regulation.
  • Cotton Comfort Fabric: By blending natural cotton with durable polyester, this t-shirt offers the soft, breathable feel of cotton against the skin with the moisture-wicking and hard-wearing properties of synthetic fibres.
  • Modern V-Neck Styling: The stylish neckline provides a professional look while increasing ventilation around the neck area compared to standard crew neck alternatives.

Design & Performance

Engineered with a lightweight knit construction, the shell fabric comprises 55% cotton and 45% polyester. This specific ratio is chosen to maximise wearer comfort; the cotton sits against the skin to absorb moisture, while the polyester outer face ensures the garment retains its shape and colour through rigorous use. The addition of the 100% polyester mesh contrast panels is a deliberate design choice to combat the build-up of heat during active shifts.

The performance of this t-shirt is further enhanced by the HiVisTex Pro tape. Because the tape is heat-applied rather than stitched, there are no internal seams to cause irritation, and the segmented pattern allows the fabric to expand and contract naturally as you move, which is particularly beneficial for those in active trades.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The PW3 Hi-Vis T-Shirt is an excellent canvas for corporate branding. For a professional and authoritative appearance, we recommend embroidery for smaller logos on the chest or sleeves. This method adds a tactile, high-quality finish that withstands industrial laundering exceptionally well.

For larger back logos or high-impact branding, heat-transfer printing is an ideal alternative. This method is particularly effective on this lightweight fabric as it maintains the garment's flexibility. Our in-house customisation team, based at our Telford headquarters since 1976, ensures that every logo is applied with precision to maintain both the garment's integrity and your company's professional image.

Use Cases

This garment is ideally suited for workers in the construction, logistics, and highways sectors who require high visibility in warm weather or high-intensity roles. Its breathable nature also makes it a preferred choice for warehouse staff who are constantly on the move and require a uniform that manages perspiration effectively.

We understand that workwear is an investment in your team's safety and professional standing.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, consider that this t-shirt is designed with a modern fit. If you prefer a more generous feel for layering over a base layer in transitional seasons, you may wish to evaluate the measurements carefully. Its lightweight nature makes it an excellent primary layer under a high-visibility jacket during colder months without adding unnecessary bulk.

Caring for your product

To ensure this garment continues to provide maximum protection and comfort, it is essential to follow the specific care instructions provided. Maintaining the integrity of the reflective tape is paramount for safety compliance.

We recommend a very mild wash process at a maximum temperature of 40°C. Exceeding this temperature can degrade the adhesive used for the segmented tape and may cause the fabric to lose its shape. Avoid the use of bleach, as harsh chemicals will destroy the fluorescent dyes and significantly reduce the garment's visibility.

This t-shirt should be drip line dried only; do not use a tumble dryer, as the intense heat can cause the reflective segments to peel or crack. Furthermore, do not iron this garment, as direct heat will damage both the synthetic fibres and the heat-applied tape. Please note that this product is rated for a maximum of 50 washes to ensure the reflective properties remain within safety standards.
